Mitt Romney showed his true nature last night!
He is a bully who has no respect for the President of the United States, and also no respect for women, as demonstrated by his misbehavior toward Candy Crowley, the moderator. He constantly interrupted both Obama and Crowley, and told Obama he would “get his turn”, as if he is talking down to some underling who works for him!
He is a BOSS, used to pushing people around, particularly women, and does not wish to give respect to a leader who happens to be African American.
Romney feels “entitled” to his own elevator while Massachusetts Governor, but sets a terrible example of failing to respect the office of the Presidency!
And he talks about “binders of women”, an insulting reference to looking for women to serve in his administration. It is clear that he secretly feels that most women should stay at home and depend on their husbands, as the Mormon Church has long promoted, and he can use the example of his wife, Ann Romney, a “good” woman, who allows her husband to be the boss, which he loves to be over everyone he associates with, who is not a wealthy male!
Can one imagine how outraged he would be, were he to become President, and anyone showed him an equal level of disrespect?
This man was rude, pushy, nasty, aggressive, and should remind women and workers, both male and female, of the boss they hate, and therefore, if he is so unwilling to give respect to others, he does not deserve the respect of the American people, and should go back to his many homes around the nation, and enjoy his obscene wealth gained at the expense of women and labor, many victims of his selfishness and greed over a lifetime!
And this is a “religious” man? Give me a break!
The Republican attitude seems to be that if you are Republican its okay to be an ass but if you’re not how dare you do what we just did to you yesterday!! I find it hard to even listen to Romney talk just because he has showcased very little reason that I or anyone for that matter should respect him in the least. I of course still listen because I unlike a lot of people I know unfortunately, like to know just why I don’t like someone and just why I don’t agree with them, not just disagree with them because they are Republican or whatever.
Question for you professor. Do you find it funny that Romney keeps trying to say he is not a politician he is more a private sector man yet can’t shut up about having been governor for 2 minutes?
I find Romney funny every time he opens up his mouth, as he sounds ridiculous and ill informed much of the time!
He is a greedy, selfish person who cares for nothing other than his own ambition, and his wife and children.
He does not care for people, unless they are rich!
A sad state of affairs! 🙁
People can also probably stop wondering why he didn’t release more tax returns. My bet is it will paint a different picture then the Romney who donated all that money because he knew he would be running for President.
I find it disturbing that people are actually taking this man seriously. Every time he tries to be a smartass it blows up in his face and he is always trying to be a smart ass. Just last night he tried to be a smartass about the exact language used by the President in the Rose Garden, ended up looking like a fool. He tried to be a smart ass with his 100 percent comment only for it to open the door for the president to get the final word in using that 47 percent comment against him. He tried to make it an issue what exactly Obama was doing after the tragedy in September and he ended up opening a huge door for the president to turn it around and bring up the fact Romney made it a political issue before the facts has even been collected. I laughed when he told Romney he found the accusation that he or any on his team would handle such a thing in a political way offensive. I laughed because at that moment Romney was being scolded like a little child who stole something.
I particularly enjoyed the moment when he thought he had the President on the language used and the President just smiled and told him to continue. The smile just screamed bring it on. I cracked up when you could see a look of shock creeping into Romney’s face when the President just sat there calmly and even more so when he started stuttering when the moderator fact checked him. I think he failed at making himself look like a better aspect then W Bush because the president turned around and agreed with him that he and W are different. That Romney is actually worse than Bush
It is sad that Romney is the type of candidate he is but it is far more of a tragedy that so many people buy into him. As a President he would get us into a war with someone for sure. He has proven track record of losing his cool and acting without all the facts or even any of the facts for that matter. He is completely useless when someone calls him out on something and I for one don’t want the embarrassment of a President who starts to shudder, stutter and even turn red when someone says something he didn’t expect to hear. I really don’t want a President who doesn’t even understand how to act like a president or who can’t even show respect for the person holding he office he claims to want. I don’t want a President who can’t go 10 minutes without telling multiple fibs and few outright lies. I don’t want a president who says whatever he thinks he has to to stay popular even if it means stealing his opponent’s ideas under the guise of “agreeing with him.â€
Sorry for the long rant it’s just the really disturbing thing is the people who support Romney more then anything else because anyone who even sort of paid attention this last year can easily recognize all of these things and more about the Governor. I hope I am not the only one who feels that way.
Wow, I am impressed! 🙂
You made a serious case indicting Romney, one of the best I have seen, and stealing what I might have said! 🙂 LOL
You are correct, and I hope people reading this blog, as well as otherwise, are smart enough to realize that we have a “jewel” in Barack Obama, and that this nation needs him for the next four years, and that he will go down in history as one of the best Presidents we have had, and even accomplish more if only the Republicans stop standing in the way of progress!
But of course, whatever is accomplished will have to occur despite them, so hopefully, the Democrats will gain control of the House and keep control of the Senate!
Thanks again for your brilliant assessment of Mitt Romney! I really appreciate it!
Glad my Rant was constructive LOL I really do feel fortunate that in this election the first one that I am old enough to vote in, that I have someone to vote for that I’m not just voting for because I don’t very much like the other guy. I would vote for President Obama over pretty much anyone you could pit against him at this point because of his merits and the fact that weather he succeeds or fails for whatever reasons whatever he does or attempts is with the best interest of the country at heart even the part of the country who hates him because of his skin color or name. Honestly if he was white and named Berry whatever Romney wouldn’t be doing as well.
I will be proud to cast my vote for President Obama and 4 more years in the right direction (which is running away from idiots lol)
Even the “binders of women” story was not true:
http://www.bostonglobe.com/news/politics/2012/10/17/how-mitt-romney-had-whole-binders-women-for-staff-positions-governor/Fyb4PQrpegAYzSTJd1d8iK/story.html
Also, the disrespect of the President seems to run in the family:

Yes, Tagg Romney should openly apologize to the President for his lack of respect of the man and the office, and his father should make clear he deplores what his son did, but we well know that no apology will be forthcoming by either Tagg or Mitt.
Both feel Mitt is “entitled” to be President because of his wealth and ego, that he is “better” than anyone else to be President.
Yes, ego is part of running for and winning the Presidency, but Mitt is obnoxious in his attitude of entitlement!
The son’s thought process brings a whole new meaning to the term, “Getting Tagg-ed for
President”. ; )
I don’t think anybody has ever been entitled to the Presidency except for George Washington and even he didn’t accept it without a little coaching. To think that someone like Mitt Romney so clearly thinks he deserves it because he is Mitt Romney is kind of funny in an extremely sad way. I agree with you professor.
Saying that you want to hit the President is kind of an extremely stupid move, I kind of think they shouldn’t allow him into the last debate now. Not because I think he would actually do it we all know they are too much of a coward to actually do anything but because of the principal involved.
Are you freakin’ kidding me??? Obama doesn’t get respect??? How quickly we forget the pure vitriol that was and is still directed at President Bush. He was called a racist, a fascist, he was compared to Hitler, etc. People openly said they wanted to kill him. I didn’t hear any howl of indignation then.
Also, you don’t seem to know or have chosen to ignore that women in the Obama administration are paid 17% less than their male counterparts. And don’t forget Anita Dunn, former White House Communications Director and the President’s debate coach, described working in President Obama’s White House as a “hostile work environment for women.”
Her full quote: “Looking back, this place would be in court for a hostile workplace. … Because it actually fit all of the classic legal requirements for a genuinely hostile workplace to women.’’
Also, former economic adviser Christina Romer said she was treated as a “piece of meat.” And somehow Romney is sexist because he got enough resumes from qualified women to fill binders? How is that MORE offensive than President Obama’s White House? Seriously, people! All the President has to go on is Big Bird and binders. He sure can’t run on his record.
I don’t recall any prior Democratic (or Republican, for that matter) Presidential candidate’s family member announcing to the press that he wanted to throw a punch at the incumbent President. I also don’t recall anyone on this board directing those comments at President Bush.
Counterparts would indicate that your comparison is for people at the same grade level.
Can you be more specific to expand on your statement. Women in equal positions in the Obama White House are paid the same. That is a fact. It is valid that there are more senior men than woman on the White House senior staff. So, your statement is not a valid comparison. The issue in the debate was the Lilly Ledbetter law, which is specific to paying the same for the same level of work. The spread of qualified male to female senior staff is a valid observation, but the number of senior staff in the White House is more than double than the previous administration.
Also, for the record, consecutive extra question marks in an interogative sentence takes away the point as much, if not more, as exclamation points in an exclamatory
sentence.
Thanks, Paul, for defending me, but I will try to use exclamation points less often, but I get so passionate that I sometimes fall victim to them! LOL
Oops, again—hahahaha
Professor YOU get excited and carried away sometimes? Seems I recall a wise old professor tell me to calm down, & take a BREATH as I tend to get quite riled up over this campaign. You may not have noticed… I was utterly amazed at the number of lies Romney is able to shoot out of his mouth..as fast as an AK47! DIDyou happen to see John Stewart’s bit on Romney badgering the Pres on the words ” terrorist act” the nextmorning after the embassey attack? It’s well worth checking it on uTUbe. After that I’m naming Romney-Wile E. Coyote and Paul Ryan is Daffy Duck.
I think we can agreePresident Obama was back!
