“The Progressive Professor”: Accurate Projections On Presidential Electoral Vote!

This author is proud to announce that he was 100 percent accurate in his projection on the Electoral College battle for the Presidency!

The prediction was that Barack Obama would win 332 electoral votes to 206 for Mitt Romney, with Obama winning eight of the nine “swing” or “battleground” states, all but North Carolina, and that was, precisely, what happened! Florida was the last state, finally, to finish its vote count and confirm that the Sunshine State was won by Obama.

Also, the Senate prediction was for 54 Democrats and Independents, and the final total is, instead, one more–a total of 55.

And the prediction for the House of Representatives was for a 15 seat gain for the Democrats, but it seems to be only seven for sure, and possibly up to eleven seats, ultimately!

Let’s just say that this author is quite happy in the results, and proud of his predictions being so much on target!

    Hello Professor,
I want to say congratulations on your correct predictions of this election…..or as we use to say in the Navy…. “Bravo Zulu!” (which means, “Job Well Done!”)

I also want to take this time to pass on how much your words helped me to keep a positive attitude that the President was going to win. As we now know, he not only won the Electoral Vote but also the Popular vote too!!

As I have also warned that the Republican Party under Karl Rove was going to try every means there was to steal the election. Tactics such as “purging viable voters” from the election rolls, “tampered and compromised” the electronic voting machines, and of course the Third World aspects of sending out “intimidating letters” warning voters not to show up much less vote against their extreme right wing agenda.

Today Karl Rove has a lot of explaning to some very wealthy donors on after spending so much money, and based on his personal assurance that this election could be bought, how did the Republican Party loose so poorly?

I was also very pleased that Florida went for the President. I think after this election the Republican Party should do some soul searching and actively purge the extreme aspects that thinks stealing an election is the direction to push forward their agenda……well maybe their agenda is not worth supporting at all.

As Bob Dylan sang, “The Times They Are A Changin.”
