Bad news for the Republican Party: Two of their more viable candidates, both from the significant “swing” state of Florida, former Governor Jeb Bush, and Senator Marco Rubio, would lose big time to Hillary Clinton in their home state, an absolutely amazing result.
Clinton would defeat Bush by 51-40 and Rubio by 52-41, and former Governor Charlie Crist, who switched from Republican to Independent to Democrat, and is considering challenging Florida Governor Rick Scott for reelection in 2014, leads Scott by the massive margin of 50-34 percent.
This is far ahead, but portends bad news for Florida’s Governor next year, and for the GOP in 2016, if they cannot win Florida with candidates from Florida!
And since illegal immigration is a hot issue, and neither Bush nor Rubio nor Rand Paul nor really anyone else considering running, is unwilling to consider a pathway to citizenship for eleven million people, there is no way that, with the increasing Hispanic and Latino vote, that ANY Republican can win the White House anytime soon, not just in 2016 but beyond!
LOL we are still far away from 2016. In any event you guys keep up with your “rich are not paying their fair share” lie and who knows, you might even start losing some libs! LOL! Rachel “Madcow’s” silence, and that of the stunned low information audience, when Bill Maher, to my surprise, actually corrected her was priceless. The comment was sparked after MSNBC host Rachel Maddow argued on Maher’s show that â€the Ryan budget is a document that says the big problems in America right now are that rich people do not have enough money.â€
“They need relief from confiscatory tax rates,†she added.
Surprisingly, Maher fired back.
“You know what? Rich people – I’m sure you’d agree with this,†Maher said addressing former Congressman Tom Davis (R-VA), “actually do pay the freight in this country.â€
“I just saw these statistics. I mean, something like 70 percent. And here in California, I just want to say liberals – you could actually lose me. It’s outrageous what we’re paying – over 50 percent. I’m willing to pay my share, but yeah, it’s ridiculous.â€
What is amazing is that Maher, and liberals in general, actually do seem ignore a simple fact that any well informed citizen knows, that the top 5% of the income earners contribute 70% to the IRS piggy bank. That the so call “rich” pay more that their fair share. What is even more stunning is the Maher has been commenting all these years about policy and taxes and to his admission “just saw the statistics”! In other words, years of blabbering without knowing the facts.
