The Democratic Party has taken the first step toward hoped for retention of the majority of the US Senate in 2014, with the solid victory tonight of Congressman Ed Markey to John Kerry’s Senate seat in Massachusetts!
Markey, a 36 year veteran of the House of Representatives, enters the Senate with more years in the lower house of Congress than any in American history, and at an older age than most for a first term, being age 66!
Markey has been an outstanding liberal, and will add distinction to the US Senate, alongside fellow Senator Elizabeth Warren, making Massachusetts again one of the best states in representation, as it was with Ted Kennedy and John Kerry!
Congratulations to the new Senator Ed Markey!
Ed Markey won that special U.S. Senate race by a little over 10 percentage points. Presidential races in Mass. usually go to the Democrat with at least 58 percent of the vote. (That’s if the two parties combine for 98 percent of the presidential vote in the state.) And it is important that Team Blue not assume the advantage and make sure to continue to get the turnout.
So RINO Gabriel Gomez lost to Democrat Ed Markey in the special election to fill the Massachusetts U.S. Senate seat vacated by John Kerry. Thank God!! One less Democrat-lite RINO like Gomez candidate to define the GOP. Despite the support of the Republican establishment,Gomez, who agrees with 90% of the Democrat agenda, still lost. Gee isn’t that a surprise! Why would liberal Massachusetts voters select a Democrat-lite Gomez over a full-bodied Democrat like Ed Markey? Would you Ron? And why would conservative Massachusetts voters select Democrat-lite Gomez? I know I wouldn’t. Now I am sure “moderate” RePUBICans establishment, like the Engineer, will interpret the loss as evidence that our party needs to move farther to the left and be more like the pseudo-socialist Democrats. As of course Ron would agree. Just to make sure Democrats keep winning elections, or at least have the least electoral opposition possible, right? Anything but “bold pastel colors”. Right Ron? Now, Gabriel Gomez was a horrible candidate. He supported the Gang of Eight Bill, gun control, abortion, and more insane ideas. Plus Gomez dissed conservatives. To win the primary at any and all cost, Gomez attempted to smear the Conservative Campaign Committee, whose mission is to hoist conservative candidates to victory across America. That’s why I am so happy Mr. RINO Gomez lost!
Juan, this will be my last response to you. I do NOT believe in censorship, but am of the belief that you have tried to hijack my blog, which I put a lot of effort into, and am emotionally committed to on a daily basis.
I am not going to prevent you from saying what you wish to say, but will not give you the satisfaction of wasting time answering you, since no response ends a discussion. You have a vicious streak, which Maggie, D, Engineer of Knowledge, Princess Leia and those who never comment on here well recognize.
I refuse to waste my time answering your efforts at provocation, as I have better things to do with my time, including writing on the blog, teaching courses, lecturing to audiences that appreciate me. So no more wasted time giving you unwanted attention!
So write away and say what you wish, but I will not respond anymore. In my view, I will let others go after you if they wish, while I stay above the fray and keep my dignity! You have not dignified yourself by your rampage on my blog for the past six months, and I am bored by the whole situation!
Goodbye, Juan!
WOW! Now what did I do? Even when I am happy a Democrat won it is taken a an attack? Sorry Ron, I really do not understand. Good Bye.
