Have Democratic Presidents Been Treated “Better” Than Republican Presidents By News Media Since FDR Onward? NO!

If you listened to Republican and conservative propagandists, it would seem that the Republican Party  is at a disadvantage when it comes to the “liberal”, “mainstream” news media, in coverage of Presidents and Presidential candidates.

Nothing could be further from the truth, as anyone who studies American history KNOWS that Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama have all been subjected to an inordinate amount of attacks and criticism on every issue and personal quirk imaginable, and many have been purely fiction and mythology!

The job of ALL news media is to challenge, expose, and reveal weaknesses and inconsistencies in Presidential candidates, and Hillary Clinton, in particular, has had much more attacks, criticism  and fictional and mythological stories than ANY GOP Presidential candidate.

But the fact that Marco Rubio has issues with handling his finances; that Donald Trump has had three marriages and multiple bankruptcies; that Dr. Benjamin Carson has sponsored phony nutrition supplements that supposedly cure cancer; that Mike Huckabee, Ted Cruz, and Bobby Jindal support an anti gay church leader who advocates gays be murdered; that Chris Christie has left his state in financial tatters and is still being part of the investigation of the “Bridgegate” Scandal in New Jersey; that Carly Fiorina lies constantly about just everything she talks about; and numerous other issues and controversies that  are real and true, not fabricated, is something that the news media and hosts of political debates should be expected to address, and to confront the candidates on these issues.

Instead, the Republican candidates as a group are “crybabies”, and Ted Cruz has suggested that a political debate be conducted by right wing conservative talk show hosts Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin, none of them legitimate journalists, but instead pure hate propagandists who exploit the gullible nature of too many listeners on talk radio and viewers of Fox News Channel.

And yet, one Republican Presidential candidate, Governor John Kasich of Ohio, says the party and candidates need to stop complaining and “sniping”, grow up, and expect the news media to be on the offensive, and to be mature enough to deal with it, and really answer the questions posed to them, just as Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Martin O’Malley have to deal with regularly!  And that makes John Kasich a legitimate and serious Presidential candidate, separating the adults from the chidren!

Ha! Ha! Obama got the cry-babies good! :)http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/02/politics/obama-republicans-cnbc/index.html

When and if the media ever asks leftist these questions and with this tone, then maybe, just maybe one can say they treat conservatives the same as the treat leftist. Until then if I were you I’d… well you know what I mean.
    1. Hillary, you have had upwards of 5 different explanations regarding your private, unsecured email servers. These were outlined in the New York Times. Given that each explanation pretty much contradicted the previous one, which explanation would you say is the Truth, at this point?
    2. Hillary, You and Obama claim you don’t want to take guns away from Americans. Yet you both express admiration for the gun laws of Australia and Britain, each of which required widespread confiscation, and suggest that we need to consider them for America. How is that not expressing support for confiscation?
    3. Hillary, every nation that experienced an “Arab Spring” uprising is now either in anarchy or under the control of Islamic Extremists. Since you were the Secretary of State during these times and apparently encouraged the uprising, do you feel remorse for the state of affairs in these countries now and for the suffering women and girls are enduring?
    4. Hillary, George Soros spent $33 million bankrolling the Ferguson demonstrations to drive national protests which ruined an innocent cop’s life, ruined many small — often minority-owned — businesses, destroyed the property values of the Ferguson residents, and cost the city and state countless millions.
He has also contributed $24 million to pro-Hillary super PACs. Do you endorse his actions?
Will you condemn Soros and those PACs for accepting his money?
    5. Hillary, are you concerned that four members of the Clinton Foundation’s Board “either been charged with or convicted of serious crimes, including bribery and fraud.”
    6. Hillary why, of the hundreds of millions of dollars the Foundation has collected, only 15% went for programmatic grants? Are you or have you ever been concerned about this?
    7. Hillary, if you were to be elected, Bill would become the “First Husband”. Do you think he has the “moral authority” to be “First Husband”?
    8. Hillary, when you were first lady you and your team went after every single woman that was sexually attacked by your husband. How can you be a defender of women’s right? How are you not on a war against women?
    9. Hillary, do you favor late term abortion and partial birth abortion without restrictions?
    10. Hillary, when do you believe life begins?
I’m sure the media sharpies who asked Dr. Carson if he endorsed a supplement maker just because of his paid appearances at their conferences will get around to asking her these things on their own. And I’m sure they’ll do that with respect to all the contributors to the Clinton Foundation like Hizb’allah supporter Issam Fares, Qatar, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, who certainly understand how misogyny hurts her personally.
    Give me a break.

The fact that they no longer want a real debate, shows the country they do not have any real solutions.

  4. Ariel Leis November 3, 2015 11:39 am

It’s a Republican/Conservative primary. It’s not the CNN debate, it’s not the Fox News debate, it’s not the CNBC debate, it’s the Republican debate. It belongs to the Republican party and its voters, not to the left leaning media who will never vote in a Republican primary. You will never see a Democratic primary debate on Fox.

  5. Rustbelt Democrat November 3, 2015 11:57 am

Ok. Let’s see: 1) The Republican candidates are revolting against the management, 2) They have organized a work stoppage, 3) They have presented a list of demands and 4) They have banded together to give them more strength in numbers.

Hmmm. Sounds like a union to me.

  6. Pragmatic Progressive November 3, 2015 11:59 am

    Republican’ts whining: We don’t want a debate.

Translation: They don’t want the voters to see just how out of touch with reality the so-called candidates find themselves. Not to mention out of touch with the realities of every day life for the majority of citizens in the country.

  7. Princess Leia November 3, 2015 12:06 pm

Ariel – The point of a debate is to explain to undecided voters about your policies by answering tough questions.

  8. Southern Liberal November 3, 2015 12:23 pm

The cry-babies are really setting themselves up for further failure. If they have a fake debate with no real, challenging questions, what are they going to do when they have to face the Dem candidate in a REAL debate on national TV. It would be like facing high school pitching all year and then trying to get a hit in the World Series.

  9. Pragmatic Progressive November 3, 2015 12:35 pm

This whole temper tantrum is another nail in the coffin of why they’re going to lose the White House.

  10. Former Republican November 3, 2015 1:02 pm

Ariel’s questions are precisely the type of non-serious questions Limpbag would ask if he were moderating a Dem debate.

  11. Ariel Leis November 3, 2015 1:16 pm

Leia: That is true once we have a candidate, not during a primary. Once we nominate the Republican candidate, then its time to convince independents and blue collar Democrats (you know, those abandoned by Obama) with a clear message. In the meantime this is a REPUBLICAN primary, not an independent or Democrat primary.

  12. Ariel Leis November 3, 2015 1:17 pm

What’s wrong Former Republican? You can’t take the questions?

  13. Princess Leia November 3, 2015 1:18 pm

LOL! He’s probably Limpbag in disguise. 😉

So now we know that Brian Steel, senior vice president of communications, CNBC, the second highest ranking network official at Wednesday night’s debate described by an insider as the “executive on hand” for the debate, worked in the Bill Clinton White House as a domestic policy advisor to Algore. His White House gig was just one of three jobs he held in the Clinton administration. These Clinton hacks are everywhere, and they go from government to media. They’re at CBS, ABC, NBC. They’re at CNN, CNBC, MSNBC. They’re everywhere. Not only that, but the wife — ready for this? — Eileen Libutti had three different jobs in the Clinton White House, is a Hillary Clinton donor. The CNBC executive who oversaw the catastrophic Republican presidential debate in Colorado is married to a Hillary Clinton 2016 donor. Of course, this is not a surprise. I’m just confirming. These are not journalists in any way, shape, manner, or form. They’re hacks. They’re party hacks disguised as journalists or disguised as lawyers, disguised as think tank analysts and senior fellows and whatever the heck else. No shock, surprise whatsoever.

  15. Southern Liberal November 3, 2015 1:28 pm

Absolutely untrue! Blue collar Dems have NOT been abandoned by Obama.

  16. Rustbelt Democrat November 3, 2015 1:31 pm

ROFL! More like the people on Faux Snooze are not journalists in any way, shape, manner, or form.

  17. Princess Leia November 3, 2015 1:54 pm

Undecided voters tune in to primary debates as well.

  18. Ariel Leis November 3, 2015 3:11 pm

Leia: If undecided do tune in, then more the reason to have conservative moderators who at least have an idea of what conservatism is, and not left wing hacks who haven’t a clue. All these left wing hack questions come from left field, from a leftist view of issues. That is why they simply cannot comprehend what is going on outside their bubble. Just like you guys. All you have in your minds is a deformed caricature of what conservatism/Republicanism stands for. I read some commentaries here that are so childish and immature. It’s truly amazing.

  19. Former Republican November 3, 2015 3:34 pm

ROFL! Like, Bernie said, things such as Hillary’s emails are a non-issue.

  20. Southern Liberal November 3, 2015 3:35 pm

    I am quite sure.

  21. Princess Leia November 3, 2015 3:36 pm

No. All the more reason to have neutral (i.e., non-partisan) moderators.

  22. Rustbelt Democrat November 3, 2015 3:40 pm

LOL! More like conservatives/Republicans cannot comprehend what is going on outside their bubble.

  23. Pragmatic Progressive November 3, 2015 3:45 pm

Nope. We’re the mature ones here.

  24. Ariel Leis November 3, 2015 3:51 pm

Leia: But there are hardly if any non-partisan moderators in the media.

  25. Princess Leia November 3, 2015 3:54 pm

LOL! There are plenty out there. You just have to look beyond Faux Snooze.

  26. Ariel Leis November 3, 2015 4:16 pm

You’d be surprised but seriously I never watch FOX. And to tell you the truth I watch MSNBC, and CNN. It’s entertaining to watch how the enemy thinks and how misguided they are. Also there bias is so predictable.

  27. Southern Liberal November 3, 2015 4:25 pm

Nope. They aren’t the ones who are misguided. 😉

  28. Former Republican November 3, 2015 5:08 pm

LOL! Claims he never watches Fox. Sure. And I’ve got swampland to sell you.

  29. Rustbelt Democrat November 3, 2015 5:10 pm

Agree, Former Republican. He obviously watches Fox because that’s where he gets his talking points from.

  30. Princess Leia November 3, 2015 8:46 pm

Aha! Now we know where his troll home base is! Let’s go give him and his buddies a taste of their own medicine! 😉

  31. Former Republican November 3, 2015 10:24 pm

    On the list:

    Heritage Foundation
    Cato Institute

    Yep…definitely a Teapublican.

  32. Rustbelt Democrat November 3, 2015 10:27 pm

The left-wing blogs he reads…more like rational and in no way, shape, manner, or form wrong.

Several of us here are friends and family members in the same neck of the woods and these are blogs we like to read, in addition to the Professor’s blog:

As The People’s View blog points out, many of these prominent liberal political pundits in the news are Fauxgressives. Their ideology is always to tar pragmatism and embrace libertarian extremism, like a mirror image of the far Right ideologues. They suffer from Obama Derangement Syndrome.
