Something is seriously wrong with the Democratic National Committee, under Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, in their decision to schedule two of the Presidential debates on Saturday evenings, when most people are not watching television, and particularly the debate scheduled for this evening right before Christmas!
It is a denial of common sense to do this, and will make many think the Democratic National Committee is favoring front runner Hillary Clinton over her two rivals, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley.
And only permitting a small total of six debates altogether is also a blunder!
More exposure in debates is to be preferred, not less, but apparently, despite protests, the schedule is set, and undermines the Democratic ability to get their message out to the voters!
IMO, the losers of the debate were the moderators.
It was done deliberately. DNC chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz wants Hillary Clinton nominated. And she is responsible for this nonsense of burying the debates in the worst time-slots possible. (The flak over the weekend, against Bernie Sanders, had us questioning, “Would the DNC have done this against Hillary Clinton?” And it wasn’t even the Sanders Campaign’s fault.)
What this may ultimately do is sink the Democrats’ hopes for winning the White House a third consecutive cycle, in 2016, because the party did everything they could to get America less interested in their candidates and policy ideas…while the Republicans, starring Donald Trump, remain front and center.
If that happens, it would sound to me like Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the Democratic Party did another of their “We can deliberately take a dive” tactics. (They are, as they demonstrated with Howard Dean in 2004, willing to do that if it means a liberal isn’t anywhere near to representing the Democratic Party in the presidential contest. The establishment types, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz is one of them, does not want Bernie Sanders nominated.)
Agreed Leia.
Nearly 200 nations just signed a historic climate agreement in Paris and not a single question about climate change at Saturday’s Democratic presidential debate.

Climate change will never be an issue until it’s too late.
