It seems more likely by the day that we may witness having three women on the Presidential tickets of the two major political parties in the upcoming Presidential Election of 2016.
Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee, may decide to select Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren or Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar as her running mate, which would be a revolutionary act, and likely, a winning combaination.
At the same time, Republican nominee Donald Trump may decide that he must pick a conservative woman to be his running mate, as an attempt to take away the women’s vote from Hillary.
If so, the most likely choices, based on Trump’s statement that he wants someone who is in the DC establishment, would be either Tennessee Congresswoman March Blackburn or Iowa Senator Joni Ernst.
If however, Trump went to the governors in the Republican Party, he could select Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, who served in Congress before becoming governor in 2011; or former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer; or South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley; or New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez. The latter two are from minority heritage, with Haley having parents from India, and Martinez being Mexican American, but these two have made it quite clear they do not wish to be considered.
The others mentioned have indicated interest, as has former Alaska Governor and 2008 Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, the thought of her being tapped a total nightmare, and highly unlikely.
This blogger would bet at this point that Marsha Blackburn or Joni Ernst are the most likely choices, so imagine an all woman Vice Presidential debate of either Blackburn or Ernst against Warren or Klobuchar!
It would be a fascinating and much watched debate, along with the debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton!
Is there a chance that Hillary will ask VP Biden to be her running mate?
I advocated that Joe Biden should have a third term for VP in February of 2015 on this blog, and in January (and now on the right side under Interviews) I was asked about this by John Hockenberry of the Takeaway on NPR for seven minutes.
It would be great if Joe Biden ran with Hillary, and he would know how to attack Donald Trump effectively.
Biden is the best VP in American history, and it would be a blessing for him to be there for a third term, which is not barred, as Presidential terms are limited by the 22nd Amendment.
Let’s hope, Aaron, but no idea, of course, of what will happen!
But think about it–President Hillary with the experience and expertise and wisdom of Joe alongside her husband, the 42nd President!
The nationalist populist big government Trump should not waste his time. He is not going to get elected. Conservative Republicans won’t vote for him, libertarians won’t vote for him and big government democrats will vote for the original big government party and Hillary will win.
Considering that Trump is less popular than lice and Nickelback, I wouldn’t consider Trump to be a populist. LOL!

Thanks for that, RD! It’s perfect! 🙂
I like Bernie but I’m not too keen about some of his supporters. http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/bernie-sanders-under-fire-after-nevada-convention-chaos
There are no excuses for that kind of behavior in Nevada. Politics is frustrating but to say its rigged every time you lose is wrong.
I pray that Bernie doesn’t wind up being another Ralph Nader, hurting the Democrats chances in November.
There’s a small subset of his followers who are radicals, who most likely wouldn’t even be voting for a Democrat if he weren’t in the race.
Bernie’s statement on the matter is utterly unacceptable, should have simply condemned threats and violence without any equivocation. So much for the “happy warrior†version of Sanders most of us came to like last summer and fall. Sigh.

An opinion letter in a local paper of ours said the deciding factor in voting will be their vice president, due to the ages of the candidates.
Teapublicans don’t want to give adequate funding to fighting the Zika virus. http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/house-passes-zika-bill-funding-level-far-below-obamas-request
If they were truly pro-life, they would fully fund the CDC.
Republicans would easily tear Bernie apart in November.
