Donald Trump’s attack on former President Bill Clinton will backfire, and help Hillary Clinton to win the Presidency!

Who is Trump to talk about other people’s sex scandals, when Trump has been a womanizer all of his life; has been divorced twice, and married three times; and committed adultery against his first two wives while still married and living with them?

It is well known that Trump is crude in his language, and has no respect for women, and loves to insult women based solely on their looks and physique, which makes him a true bully, braggart, and ultimate misogynist!

He has picked on Megyn Kelly, Carly Fiorina, Elizabeth Warren, as well as Hillary Clinton, and many others over previous years.

Blaming Hillary Clinton for “enabling” her husband’s transgressions is totally preposterous, and any man or woman who accepts his attacks is certainly not religious, not moral, not ethical, not too intelligent, and not the kind of person this blogger would wish to associate with!

One must give Hillary Clinton credit for surviving so many vicious attacks over the past 25 years with equanimity, poise and grace, and one can be assured she will survive these vicious personal attacks, and Bill Clinton’s personal popularity, which has always been high, will, if anything, soar from these attacks on him and his wife!

Potential Third Party Or Independent Attempt To Deny Clinton or Trump 270 Electoral Votes!

If it was left up to Bill Kristol of The Weekly Standard and other conservatives, they would love to form a third party or independent conservative movement to deny Democrat Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump the ability to win 270 electoral votes, the minimum needed to win the White House.

Such a strategy, a real long shot, would have Mitt Romney or Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse or Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton or Florida Senator Marco Rubio or someone else gain financial backing to work to win a few key “swing” states in a three way race, and throw the election to the House of Representatives.

This has not happened since 1824, when John Quincy Adams, the second place finisher, was declared the winner of the Presidency over Andrew Jackson, what became known as a “corrupt bargain”, and fueled the victory of Jackson over Adams in the Presidential Election of 1828.

The most disturbing part is that the Republicans, who control the majority of House delegations in the present Congress, could put that third party or independent nominee in the Oval Office, even if he ended up with the third most electoral and or popular votes, an unprecedented situation, which would be seen as a true “stealing” of the Presidency!

Open Campaigning To Be Trump’s Running Mate Should Disqualify These People As Unqualified To Be A Heartbeat Away From Oval Office!

First, we have Donald Trump and his disgusting, insulting campaign for President, out to destroy his opponents in the Republican Party, including now, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

Now we have open campaigning by some of the worst possible people to be his Vice Presidential running mate, which should, in this blogger’s opinion, automatically disqualify them as unqualified to be a heartbeat away from the Oval Office!

We shall begin with Sarah Palin, the most obnoxious and moronic possible person to be a heartbeat away. but Palin, ready to work to dump Paul Ryan from the Speakership and his own Congresssional seat, has offered herself to Donald Trump as his running mate, as if she did not do enough damage to John McCain eight years ago. All she has done since 2008 is quit the Alaska Governorship, become a reality star, made millions of dollars on books that only stupid people would read, and had several embarrassing family controversies involving her son and her daughter! She might appeal to the lowest common denominator, the mob that cheers Donald on, but the thought of her being a possible President a second time around, is absolutely horrifying!

Then we have Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, who has been a total disgrace, promoting fracking in her state, which has caused thousands of earthquakes in the past few years; and who allowed the botched execution of a prisoner with drugs that did not work, causing writhing and tremendous pain, going against the concept of avoiding “cruel and unusual punishment”. Now this woman is openly lobbying to be Vice President.

Then we have Tennessee Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn, who causes one’s eyes to roll every time she opens up her mouth, and made clear she is ready to be Vice President if called upon.

And we have former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, one of the worst Republican Governors in modern times, who also made her pitch for the Vice Presidency.

And finally, we have former Texas Governor Rick Perry, who clearly has come across as lacking brain matter in a serious way, who had bitterly denounced Donald Trump in a manner that drew respect back in the fall of 2015, but now praises Trump, and made clear he would love to be Vice President, god forbid!

The four women mentioned above may be women, but they have NO qualifications to be President or anywhere near it, and pale in comparison to the outstanding qualifications of Democrat Hillary Clinton.

And Perry, well. . . ., haha you know this is Saturday Night Live material!

My Projection On Election On History News Network; And Tomorrow, My Rating Presidents Article On HNN!

My History News Network article of last Sunday on My Projection on the Presidential Election of 2016 is now on the blog, on the right side under the heading “Articles & Op-Eds”.

By Monday morning if not before, my Rating Presidents article, updating the C Span rating of 2009, which is due for updating by that station later this year or early in 2017 as Barack Obama leaves office, will indicate how I would change that rating from seven and a half years ago, after putting Barack Obama into the equation.

Of course, trying to judge how a Presidential election will sort out, as well as the many factors in judging Presidential leadership, is highly debatable and controversial, and I welcome commentary on the blog, as to the views of my readers on my conclusions in both matters.

I wish to thank Rick Shenkman of HNN for his encouragement of my writings for publication on his website, with the Ratings Presidents article being my 16th and counting of a wonderful association with the website HNN, which on the average gains 800.000 hits or more per month, and the Projecting the Presidential election results article having gained 6,000 hits in just a few days this past week!

Memo To Working Class White Males: The Future Is Here, Whether You Accept It Or Not!

It is clear that the vast majority of supporters of Donald Trump are working class white males, along with many elderly white males.

They are in full revolt against the future of America, whether they accept it or not!

That future is as follows:

A growing Hispanic-Latino and Asian American population, with the white population of the nation declining by the 2040s to be less than a majority.

A growing role of women in America, way beyond the old concept that a woman should only be a mother, and stick to the kitchen and the bedroom, and always “obey” the men in her life, when women are becoming the majority of educated and working people, and no longer will accept dominance by men.

The growing urgency of people gaining more education and job training, as the future of America will be very different economically, no matter whether Donald Trump becomes the 45th President, as there is no magic potion to reverse what has been occurring since the middle class reached its peak in 1973.

Racism, nativism, misogyny, antisemitism, xenophobia have no possibility of promoting harmony in the future of a multicultural nation, which is inevitable.

The future is here, and working class white males and many elderly white males cannot change the future, which if they could, would be totally detrimental to peace, security, and stability!

Republican Party Split Begins Around Presumptive Nominee Donald Trump!

The Republican Party is deteriorating before our eyes, as they face the threat of Donald Trump.

George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham all reject him.

So does Erick Erickson, Bill Kristol, most of the Weekly Standard and National Review conservatives, and most US Senators and Congressmen of the party.

Others such as John McCain and Susan Collins and Kelly Ayotte are steering clear of him, while not repudiating him.

Many Republican Senators running for reelection are in a no win situation, including McCain, Ayotte, Rob Portman, Ron Johnson, Pat Toomey, and Mark Kirk.

Many Wall Street Republicans, and much of the Wall Street Journal group, and even elements of the Fox News Channel crowd, reject Trump’s candidacy.

Neoconservatives in the party are infuriated with Trump’s foreign policy views.

Social conservatives cannot accept Trump’s support of limited abortion rights and LGBT rights, including transgender bathroom issues.

And Speaker of the House Paul Ryan stating his inability to support Trump at this point is totally stunning!

There is a sense of desperation, and the belief we are in the midst of a revolution in the party system!

Who Among Speculated Vice Presidents For Donald Trump Is “Qualified” and “Acceptable” To Be A Heartbeat Away?

Now that Donald Trump is the presumptive Republican Presidential nominee, with the withdrawal of both Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Ohio Governor John Kasich, there is much speculation as to who might be his Vice Presidential choice, with at least 17 potential candidates.

Of course, there is always the danger of a “wild card”, someone that no sane person would consider for Vice President, but with Trump, you never know!

It is urgent that a decent, competent Vice President be ready and able in case of an emergency, were Trump to be incapacitated or die in office.

Some of the choices are acceptable if not palatable, but many are horrific choices.

As this blogger sees it, the following potential choices are “acceptable” in no special order:

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie

New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley

Ohio Governor John Kasich

Senator Marco Rubio of Florida

Former Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts

This is a short list of six, with the other eleven being totally unacceptable, including:

The Abandonment Of Reason By Jon Huntsman!

Anyone who has read my blog since its inception in August 2008 KNOWS that I have been an admirer of former Utah Governor and Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman, and recommended him as the Republican Presidential nominee in 2012, and wished he would run for the nomination in 2016.

Huntsman has great background and experience, and always has come across as a reasonable moderate conservative, someone worthy of respect, admiration, and willingness to consider in a Presidential election.

But now,this blogger is dismayed at Huntsman’s decision a few days ago to suggest that it was time to unite around Donald Trump.

If anyone in the Republican Party should refuse to back Donald Trump, it is Jon Huntsman, as there is no legitimate way to say that Trump represents the long history of the Republican Party.

So now, one has to wonder if Huntsman is hoping to be Trump’s Vice President, or an important member of his cabinet, which if so, will require this author and blogger to repudiate him totally.

If Huntsman is shown to have no principle in a party that is so lacking in decency, then indeed the whole Republican Party has lost all of its purpose of its existence!

So we can say that the Republican Party, by nominating Donald Trump, has effectively died as an historical force, and this year will be seen as the death of the Republican Party after 162 years!

The Demographic Death Spiral Of The Republican Party!

Millennials
Women
African Americans
Latinos
Asian Americans
Native Americans
Jews
College Educated
Urban Population
Gays, Lesbians, Transsexuals
Environmentalists
Labor
New England and Northeast States
Pacific Coast States
Upper Midwestern States and Illinois
Most “Swing States”

The Republican Party gains support from the majority of:

Older White Males over 45
Working Class White Males
Non College Educated
Very Religious Christians and Jews
Southern States With Smaller Populations
Rural Population
Great Plains States
Upper Mountain West States
Wealthy Upper Class

The second set of groups are simply not enough to win the Presidency, and the GOP, if it does not change its basic philosophy and appeal, is doomed, as it is in a death spiral historically!

The Mexico Wall Will Never Be Reality!

Donald Trump can claim there will be a Mexico Wall when he is President, but that will never happen!

Illegal immigration across the border from Mexico to the United States is at its lowest in many years.

Landowners along the border will not, willingly, give up some of their property to build the wall.

There could be environmental and water supply issues that would become major issues, and cause bloodshed and violence among people in the Southwest, and would violate federal and state laws.

The cost of such a project would be astronomical, and there would be tremendous cost overruns

The wall’s cost would not be paid by Mexico, but instead by Americans, and would undermine US-Mexican relations with a neighbor that shares a massive boundary with the United States from Texas to New Mexico to Arizona to California.

The Republican Party would be badly split over support of such a wall, and it would be prevented by legislative blockages in both houses of Congress, including all Democrats.

The drug cartels would overcome any wall, as they are ingenious at getting their product across the border, including digging tunnels under any barriers that might be created.

We do not need to have bad relations with a neighbor to add to the many foreign policy issues that already exist!

So forget it, the Mexico Wall will never be a reality, and the ultimate reason is that Donald Trump will NOT become the 45th President of the United States!
