It is a well known fact that for many decades now, women have been heavily Democratic voters.
The question is how to encourage more women to vote, as if they do, they insure Democratic Party victory in November for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
It is clear that suburban white women, African American women, and Latina women are going to commit themselves to voting, organizing, and convincing others to engage in the campaign, as they despise Donald Trump’s racism, nativism, Islamophobia, his courting of white supremacists, and his misogyny.
They despise him also for his support of those who wish to take the right of a woman to control her body away from them, and also his anti gay and anti transgender agenda.
Donald Trump has been a disaster for women’s rights and human rights, and large numbers of motivated, committed, and intelligent women of all backgrounds are united to remove him and Vice President Mike Pence from office!
It may be interesting to see if White Women nationally flip from 2016 Republican to 2020 Democratic.
2016 Republican pickup winner Donald Trump carried White Women nationally by +9 percentage points. (He received 52 to Hillary Clinton’s 43 percent of their vote. White Women were 37 percent the size of the vote nationwide.)
I suspect White Women are reducing their national support for Trump to a point that they may become a Tossup. (I haven’t gone over national polls, one by one, to look at their crosstabs.) And that alone can help Trump lose his bid for re-election.
The first part of the exit polls I tend to look it is the gender vote. This is all men and all women exit-polled. In 2016, Donald Trump nationally carried men by +11. Hillary Clinton carried women by +13. I anticipate the male vote will go down to a point in which theirs is a Tossup. (2008 Democratic pickup winner Barack Obama actually won over the male vote, nationally, by +1, and he carried the female vote by +13, to win the U.S. Popular Vote by +7.26.) And while this occurs, the female vote nationally solidifies Democratic support. It would help to explain a, say, 8- or 9- or 10-point win in the U.S. Popular Vote.
Election Day is in three weeks. I’m sure, once it is done, there will be a good number of interesting results.
Absolutely, D, as we are both political junkies, lol, hahaha!
We LOVE the details! 🙂

Republicans choosing Amy Coney Barrett to replace RBG is going to ensure that more women vote for the Democrats.
