Former President Jimmy Carter, the longest lived President at 98 years and four and a half months at this writing, has decided to have hospice care at his home in Plains, Georgia, instead of spending his remaining days in a hospital.
Carter will still receive all necessary care and medications, but no unusual interventions, such as surgery or chemotherapy.
Carter wants a dignified end to his life, just as he has led a dignified life as a truly “good Christian”, not like the phony pastors and ministers, as well as politicians, who are greedy, selfish, corrupt, and uncaring about others, and promote hate and discrimination based on race, ethnicity, disability, religion, gender, and sexual orientation.
Carter has contributed so much in his life, before the Presidency, as President, and in his record breaking 42 plus years of retirement, an amount that will never be matched by any future President.
Carter has been judged in a shabby way, but once he passes, there will be reevaluation, and one can be sure that his reputation and historical ranking will rise higher than the mid 20s among Presidents that he is now rated.
Ironically, tomorrow is Presidents Day, and will mark 46 years and one month since Carter took the oath of office; and 42 years and one month since Carter left office!
Bless a wonderful man and leader, a model for others in a time of so many evil individuals, and wish him peace and solitude, and comfort to his wife Rosalyn Carter!
