Donald Trump, Now A Convicted Sexual Abuser In Civil Case, Has Disastrous Town Hall In New Hampshire!

Donald Trump is now a convicted sexual abuser in the E. Jeanne Carroll civil case, and one would think that any intelligent human being would repudiate him, as would anyone really want a person with that kind of behavior to be President once again?

And after last night’s horrendous performance of Donald Trump at the CNN sponsored Town Hall in New Hampshire, one has to wonder about the audience laughing and applauding a person who was responsible for the January 6 US Capitol Insurrection and so many more criminal actions in the four years of his Presidency.

It now seems clear that we have an authoritarian Fascist percentage of the American population which lives in delusion and is easily manipulated.

We have too many people who are misogynists, racist, white supremacist, antisemitic, nativist, and Islamophobic, as well as anti gay, in the name of white extremist Christianity, distorting the teachings of Jesus Christ!

Those who support Donald Trump, after all that has occurred, clearly have no issue in destroying the Constitution and the rule of law, and would be willing to commit any criminal act in loyalty to Donald Trump and his ilk, just like many in Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and many contemporary governments in the world today!

CNN Major Blunder: Giving Donald Trump Legitimacy By Hosting Town Hall!

CNN was begun in 1980 by Ted Turner, and became the leading Cable News Channel, in competition with the print media, particularly the NY Times and Washington Post.

It gained a reputation of being a reliable news source in the eyes of many observers and viewers.

But now, with new leadership, it has declined rapidly in image and judgment.

Tonight, CNN is giving Donald Trump, twice impeached, indicted in New York, and now convicted in a civil trial of sexual abuse and defamation, and facing more legal issues in Georgia, and on improper possession of government documents at Mar a Lago, and inciting the January 6 Insurrection, the opportunity to be at a Town Hall gathering in New Hampshire to be televised nationally!

What is the purpose of this CNN decision? To give Trump legitimacy and ignore his call for destroying the Constitution and rule of law? To have his sedition and treason that incited January 6, 2021 rewarded by promoting him to be elected President again?

This is pure insanity, and blood will be on the hands of CNN and its lunatic leadership for what develops out of this outrageous decision that no reasonable news source would be engaged in, with the false concept of “equal time” to all those seeking the Presidency!

Time For Chief Justice Roberts, Associate Justices Thomas And Alito To Retire!

The controversies over conflicts of interest and open corruption on the Supreme Court calls for the three Bush 1 and Bush 2 Justices to retire.

Clarence Thomas has been on the Court for nearly 32 years, 12th longest!

Samuel Alito has been on the Court for 17 years, the norm for Justices in American history!

Chief Justice Roberts has been on the Court for 18 years, the norm for the last three Chief Justices, and only three Chief Justices in the 19th century have served longer!

There is a dire need for term limits on the Court, as 18 years of service would allow each President in the future to select two Justices in a four year term, and turnover is essential, as the Justices should not be regarded with reverence as if they are deities!

Texas Violence Escalates With No Regulations, Totally Insane!

With yet another mass gun murder in Texas this past weekend, the image of Texas suffers ever greater, as it has become the most violent state, and without any idea of gun regulation, other than being a citizen and being a minimum age of 21!

Anyone can carry a firearm, including AR-15 assault weapons, in open carry legally, and there is no consideration of training, licensing, or mental health challenges, and nowhere where firearms are considered illegal to carry!

And the leaders of Texas government, including Governor Greg Abbott, the lieutenant governor and attorney general, and really, all Republicans in the state legislature, and the Texas members of the House of Representatives and US Senate, are all united in just mouthing “thoughts and prayers”.

This is purely insane, and the carnage is increading rapidly, and nationally, there have now been 201 gun massacres in 127 days of 2023!

In Texas, but really everywhere in America, no one is safe, whether in a school or college; a supermarket; a church, synagogue or mosque; a shopping mall; a movie theater; a country music festival; or a myriad of other public places, as well as the danger lurking in private homes by unstable family members who have access to weapons of mass murder!

To have no willingness to regulate guns, when Republicans are very willing to limit drag shows, to ban books, to outlaw discussions of race and gender in schools and universities, to restrict voting rights, and so many others government interventions, is a total outrage that calls for mass demonstrations and demands for action!

But of course, these same Republicans want to limit the right of the people to freedom of speech, and assembly, and this makes it clear we are dealing with Fascist oriented governments that do not care about the health and safety of their own citizens, and non citizens, alike!

No other nation has any sense of gun violence that is totally unregulated and out of control, and this makes America look like a nation that is, clearly, the most dangerous nation in the world, bar none!

And young people are being slaughtered on a level unmatched even in war zones, as America has become a national war zone!

Gerrrymandered State Legislatures–Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Texas And Other Republican States!

Gerrymandering of many state legislatures, particularly in “Red” states, has led to the movement to take away democracy.

This is particularly noted in Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, and Texas, as those state legislatures take unprecedented action to strip voting rights, abortion rights, gay rights, and to reject any regulation of guns, despite consistent, every day, occurrences of gun massacres!

The “red” states are the centers of greater carnage than in “blue” states, which are totally the opposite of the “red” states on the major issues of civil rights.

Many state legislatures have become the center of autocratic leadership, such as Ron DeSantis in Florida and Greg Abbott in Texas, but also including many other states!

Clarence Thomas, Harlan Crowe, And Leonard Leo: Massive Ethics Scandal!

Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas has become the most controversial member of the Supreme Court since Associate Justice Abe Fortas resigned from the Court in 1969, due to an ethics scandal, which by comparison to Thomas, was quite minor.

Thomas and his wife, Ginni Thomas, have been taking favors, gifts, and lots of money from billionaires Harlan Crow and Leonard Leo, the latter the head of the right wing Federalist Society, which has been dedicated, and quite successfully, to turn the US Federal Judicial system to the extreme Right.

Thomas has been controversial since he was confirmed in 1991, after charges of sexual harassment by Anita Hill, caused the closest vote of the 20th century in the US Senate.

The Court under Chief Justice John Roberts has been besmirched not only by Thomas, but by controversies surrounding the appointments of all three Trump appointees, and the two Bush appointees of Thomas and Samuel Alito.

Faith and trust in the fairness and balance of the Court has declined rapidly, but there is little that can be done to force Thomas to resign, as that would have the effect of changing the strong right wing extremism of the present Court with a Joe Biden replacement.

The rule of law and faith in the Constitution is under attack, and restored confidence in the Court is not likely anytime soon.

Proud Boys Sedition Convictions Now Point To Donald Trump!

The conviction of four “Proud Boys” leaders of seditious conspiracy connected to the January 6, 2021 US Capitol Insurrection now brings up an issue!

Should the government pursue such charges against former President Donald Trump, who certainly, by his words and actions to interfere with the counting of the Electoral College votes, provoked and encouraged the actions of not just these specific individuals, but the thousands of rioters who invaded and caused damage to the US Capitol, and endangered Vice President Mike Pence, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and all of the US House and Senate members?

How could any sane person disagree with pursuit of prosecution of the former President, who even now speaks of suspending and destroying the Constitution, and vows retribution and revenge, and pledges pardons of all January 6 seditionists?

The only way to prevent a future situation with another President is immediate action, and severe punishment, so that never again will we have a person like Donald Trump promoting the destruction of American democracy and establishment of an authoritarian government!

These include Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and sadly, Chief Justice John Roberts!

Republicans, Conservatives, And Disrespect For Immigrants: Infuriating!

America is a nation of immigrants, and all of us are “immigrants”, in the sense that our ancestors, if not us, migrated to America, and found the only true “natives”, native Americans, whose land and resources were taken from them by European settlers.

America, historically, has mistreated native Americans in a horrible, horrendous fashion, and still do so when they decide to do mining on native lands, one of the major reasons why organizations, such as the Conservation Lands Foundation, exist, to promote proper treatment of the “original” Americans.

But America is also a nation that constantly, throughout history, has treated various groups migrating to North America, in a totally unacceptable fashion.

This has occurred to the Irish; the Italians; the Polish; the Jews; the migrants from Japan and China and elsewhere in Asia; people from Latin America; and of course the treatment of people of African origin, both slaves and those who have migrated since the end of the ugly institution of slavery!

It is infuriating when Texas Governor Greg Abbott makes the comment about the horrendous gun murders in Cleveland, Texas, referring to the victims as “illegal immigrants”, as if their status matters, as if their lives do not matter!

Immigrants come to America to excape persecution, bloodshed, discrimination, looking for a better life, as generations of immigrants have done, and they contribute their talents and skills to their adopted nation.

Just because they speak a different language, are possibly of different skin color and religion, does not make them inferior or unworthy of our sympathy, empathy, compassion, and to be treated with respect!

People like Greg Abbott, Ron DeSantis, and others who are bullies and have no regard for human life, unless it is white European Christians, need to be drummed out of office by demand of decent Americans, who do not want such despicable people to govern us!

It is past time for Republicans and conservatives who are only pro-life on fetuses, but not for gun regulation, or women’s rights, to be repudiated, and allow American to move forward in a positive fashion, and stop promoting hate!

The Attack On Science, Medicine, History, Literature, The Arts, And Knowledge Overall!

America is in a “knowledge” crisis as right wing and Republican attacks on so many fields of truth and information are being mounted by those who want to promote an extremist agenda!

These fields of knowledge include Science, Medicine, History, Literature, and the Arts.

Religion is prevailing over these fields of knowledge, as extremists in every religion are denying scientific facts, and threatening the medical profession, with the promotion of conspiracy theories and myths regarding how to deal with health crises, such as the COVID 19 Pandemic, which killed more than one million Americans in the past three years.

History and Literature are being attacked by right wing elements, including ignorant and biased parents, as well as religious propagandists, wanting the future generation to be “protected” from the reality of racism, nativism, misogyny, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and homophobia!

So teachers and librarians are being told to promote book bans and knowledge bans, because supposedly children cannot be exposed to unpleasant realities, a guarantee of ignorance and inability to face the future of a society that is not just dominated by white Christians. but rather by a multi ethnic, multi racial, multi religious nation!

The arts are also under attack as crazies want to ban art, sculpture, music, and other forms of culture based on narrow minded moral censors who want religion to dominate a nation that is based on separation of church and state!
