Joe Biden Gives Great Speech At Convention, Passing The Torch To Kamala Harris!

President Joe Biden displayed his true greatness last night, having devoted a half century to public service, and knowing it was time to pass the torch to a future generation of leadership in Vice President Kamala Harris!

This was one of Biden’s greatest speeches, and showed his compassion and empathy for Americans who need a champion to help their advancement in America.

Biden made clear the battle for American democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law, that lies ahead.

He was surrounded by his family, and Harris and Doug Emhoff, as he informed the nation that he still would work hard in his final 5 months in office, before he handed over power, hopefully, to Harris.

The convention crowd erupted in an amazing display of love and affection for the 46th President, who will go down as one of the most significant Presidents in American history!

The whole first night of the convention was magnificent, including the speeches of Hillary Clinton, Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock, and New York Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, among others, as well as the surprise appearance of Kamala Harris, leading chants thanking Joe Biden for his half century of service to the nation!

As i watching Joe Biden’s speach last night, I took note of the diversity of those in the cheering crowds, I will say with pride of my  membership in this Democratic Party’s affiliation.

When Carol and I moved from the Eastern Shore of Maryland to Annapolis, I had to register to vote in Anne Arundel County.

Many of the Johnson’s have been registered  Republicans because when West Virginia seceded from Virginia during the Civil War, and Lincoln was of a progressive mindset that one man could not own another man because he was different.

The values of the Johnson’s at that time in history, I embrace today. When I registered to vote in our new home, I was not going to have my good name affiliated with what the Republican Party has become today.  Hatred, vile spewing retoric, empowering Klansman and Neo-Nazis as if this is what should be emulated. The thought that “Greed and Business Corruptetion” is what makes a good leader.

As I have been quoted on the Blogtalk Radio Show I co-hosted for several years,
“These are the times that separate the “Morals of Men”… the times that “Try Men’s Souls.
It is now up to each individual to look within to where they stand to a higher judgement.”

Many Republicans will be taking to the DNC stage tonight

Former Trump White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham will speak at the DNC stage tonight against Trump!

Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) is also expected to speak, as is John Giles, the Republican mayor of Mesa, Ariz. Both are Trump critics.

Additionally, Olivia Troye, a former homeland security aide to former Vice President Mike Pence, is expected to speak at the Democratic convention, as is former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R). Both Troye and Duncan have become regular critics of Trump.

Former Trump aide Stephanie Grisham stated during a Democratic National Convention speech on Tuesday, that ex-President Trump privately “mocks his supporters.”

Trump refers to his supporters as “basement dwellers”

Harris is having a rally in Milwaukee tonight, at the same arena where the Republican National Convention took place. It’s packed to the rafters, a crowd of 19,000.
