As the campaign of Democrats Kamala Harris and Tim Walz draws large crowds at rallies, and raises massive amounts of funds and volunteers for the battle ahead, Republicans Donald Trump and JD Vance are flailing in their campaign.

Donald Trump has made many blunders, including:

His selection of JD Vance as his Vice Presidential running mate.

Racist attacks against Kamala Harris, and his disgraceful performance at the National Association of Black Journalists gathering in Atlanta, particularly against ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott.

His bragging about ending abortion rights, through his gaining the end of Roe V Wade by his Supreme Court appointments.

His involvement and connection with the extremist right wing Project 2025, and Vance’s authorship of the Introduction to the 922 page document.

His attack on fellow Republican, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, for having refused to back his attempt to interfere with the election results in the Presidential Election of 2020.

His praise of Russian leader Vladimir Putin for making the deal for release of Americans wrongfully held, rather than praising Joe Biden and the US Government for bringing home those individuals.

The momentum is definitely toward the Democrats at this point, with some public opinion polls showing Kamala Harris ahead of Donald Trump for the first time.

Kevin McCarthy Would Be A Disaster As Speaker Of The House!

Trepidation is growing at the looming possibility that Kevin McCarthy could become the Speaker of the House of Representatives in January 2023, two heartbeats away from the Presidency!

While John Boehner and Paul Ryan had their major shortcomings, either of them would be far superior to McCarthy, who has demonstrated his total lack of morals, ethics, and principles in his years working his way up leadership to the potential Speakership!

McCarthy was totally freaked out on January 6, 2021, and momentarily said and did the right thing in condemning Donald Trump, but his ambition took over, and he made up with Trump at Mar A Lago, and denied reality of the criminal activities of that day, including ignoring the suffering of US Capitol police officers!

McCarthy was willing to ditch Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, and work with Elise Stefanik, Jim Jordan, and the 147 House Republicans who refused to accept that Joe Biden won the Presidency!

He is willing to work with the most extremist members of his caucus, including Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, and he has made it clear that the goal of the Republicans is to destroy ObamaCare (The Affordable Care Act), as well as phase out Medicare and Social Security, and move to impeach President Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland, and other cabinet officers, even though none would be removed from office by such action!

The lunatic fringe of the Republican Party would hold the reins of power, and promote chaos, including trying to adopt a national abortion ban! As conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post and MSNBC host Chris Hayes have stated, the Republican Party would “wreak havoc”, including threatening not to raise the debt limit, and stopping aid to Ukraine, a gift to Vladimir Putin!

So the Republicans would do what Donald Trump was doing in his Presidential term—cozy up to Putin, and undermine NATO, a horrifying scenario, which would undermine both American democracy and efforts to maintain democracy in Europe and elsewhere!

Pulitzer Prize Board Upholds Awards Of 2018 To NY Times, Washington Post, On Trump-Russian Collusion In 2016 Presidential Election!

The NY Times and Washington Post, the two “national” newspapers, have received the most Pulitzer Prizes for Journalism in American history–with the NY Times winning 132 and the Washington Post 65.

In 2018, both newspapers won the Pulitzer Prize once again, for their reporting of the Donald Trump Presidential campaign in 2016 colluding with the Russians and Vladimir Putin to help defeat Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump was and remains outraged by such accusations, although a Senate Republican committee in 2019 reaffirmed the truth about that election, that Trump’s narrow victory in three states was fixed!

But now, the Pulitzer Prize Foundation has upheld the correctness of the awards given four years ago, a reaffirmation of freedom of the press and promotion of the truth!

Republican Party Divides Over Ukraine: Bad News For Donald Trump

The Ukraine Crisis, with the horrific invasion ordered by Vladimir Putin, has put the issue of Donald Trump’s “love affair” with Russia on the forefront of American politics, and is causing a Republican Party division of massive significance.

Trump, Mike Pompeo, and other Trump lackeys have good things to say about the “genius” of Putin, which is a total joke, as Russian military is suffering massive losses, and NATO and world reaction has done great damage to the Russian economy through harsh reaction in every economic way to the Ukraine invasion.

It has led many Republicans, particularly in the US Senate, to come to support of all actions being taken by Joe Biden and the international community to the tragic events.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell; Senator Lindsey Graham; Senator Mitt Romney; Senator Ben Sasse; and many others are united against Russia.

In the House of Representatives, we have Putin apologists, including Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina; Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia; Andy Biggs of Arizona; Lauren Boebert of Colorado; Matt Gaetz of Florida; Chip Roy of Texas; and others showing they are traitors to American interests and the concept of democracy, as for instance, Cawthorn condemned Volodymyr Zelensky as a “thug”.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has criticized Cawthorn, but refuses generally to condemn such seditionists, and there is a clearcut split in the Republican Party between Senate and House membership.

So the appeal of Donald Trump to run for President is declining rapidly, as there is no way that Trump could possibly unite the party or its remnants in a campaign for the Presidency.

So Civil War is evident in the Republican Party, and Senate apologists such as Josh Hawley of Missouri, Ted Cruz of Texas, and Rand Paul of Kentucky face repudiation by sane Republicans as they plan to run for President in 2024.

And Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have tremendous state controversies facing them, without even getting into the fray on the Ukraine Crisis, and how to handle Donald Trump and their own selfish personal ambitions!

Time For Accountability For Pro Putin Politicians And Cable News Channels And Their Advocates!

In the midst of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, it is time for accountability for pro Putin politicians, and cable news channels and their advocates.

This includes such apologists as:

The entire Trump family
Mike Pompeo
Josh Hawley
Ted Cruz
Rand Paul
Madison Cawthorn
Marjorie Taylor Greene
Paul Gosar
Lauren Boebert
Kevin McCarthy
Tulsi Gabbard
Jeanine Pirro
Tucker Carlson
Laura Ingraham
Sean Hannity

and a multitude of others in the Republican Party in Congress, and others on Fox News Channel, OANN (One America News Network), and Newsmax.

But realize that even some Democrats, most notably former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, is also in that camp.

These individuals and groups need to be exposed and investigated as totalitarian and authoritarian oriented, and whatever can be done to undermine their influence must be pursued!

The Crossroads Of The Republican Party Are At Hand!

With the strong likelihood that America will be engaging in combat in the near future as allies of NATO against the Russian Federation, politics is totally in disarray.

But for Republicans, who have mostly been slavish to Donald Trump and his “love affair” with authoritarian leadership, including Vladimir Putin most notably, this is the crossroads moment.

The indication is clear to those who have a brain in their head that being still supportive of Donald Trump, as more Republican voters are backing away from their obsequiousness, will cause massive losses in November.

And demonstrating support for a former President who complimented Putin on his invasion of Ukraine, and anyone else who praised Putin openly, is not a winning strategy for 2024 and beyond.

If America goes to war, are we going to have open treason and sedition working to undermine American military engagement, backing authoritarianism rather than democratic values?

What would Barry Goldwater, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and the masses of Republican officeholders from the end of World War II through the Cold War year have to say if they were here in America in 2022?

Fortunate That Joe Biden Is President In Time Of Potential World War III!

Joe Biden has always been underestimated by many people, and he has always come out shining!

Such is the case right now as America, NATO, and the world at large face the threat of World War III.

It seems certain that had Donald Trump been the occupant of the White House right now, America would have abandoned its NATO allies, and Trump would have hailed Vladimir Putin’s attacks and occupation of Ukraine!

This reminds us of the thought of what would have happened had a demagogic isolationist, such as Charles Lindbergh, had ever had the opportunity to gain the Presidency, with his fawning admiration of Adolf Hitler in World War II, until the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 ended that worship of the famous aviator for the Nazis.

Joe Biden has had extensive foreign policy background and expertise, with his year as Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman, and his eight years as Vice President, not always agreeing with American policy toward the world.

Joe Biden has now become part of the historical trend of Presidents who came to office with domestic reform their priority, but war conditions forcing a change of direction and emphasis.

The future of national security is better with this man of experience and wisdom at the helm!

America And NATO Face Greatest Crisis Since The Cuban Missile Crisis Of 1962 Over Russian Threat To Ukraine!

It is now clear, if it was not thought about earlier, that America and NATO face the greatest crisis since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, over the Russian threat to Ukraine!

While President Joe Biden has made it clear that no US combat forces will be going to Ukraine, one cannot be certain that the Russia-Ukraine crisis could not escalate to include a possible Russian invasion of NATO nations, such as Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, or Estonia, all of which are always on the alert for Russian wrongdoing!

If Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation continues his reckless disregard of international law, anything is possible, and horrifying to imagine!

It seems clear that Donald Trump gave Putin the thought that he could get away with aggression, and now Joe Biden and NATO have to deal with the consequences!

Thank goodness that Biden has helped to bring NATO together in a manner that clearly was going toward US withdrawal from alliances with European nations and Canada, as the Trump Administration moved toward its end in 2020!
