Donald Trump’s War On Education And Foreign Students!

Donald Trump has declared open war on higher education, and all education, as well as foreign students, attempting to dictate curriculum, funding, and expulsion of foreign students.

As an educator and a proponent of freedom of speech and open discussion and debate, all decent people must resist Trump’s attempt to create a government controlled curriculum of what knowledge and ideas are to be promoted.

Foreign students are being victimized, despite the fact that they are a major strength of our university system nationwide, and the movement to expel students for their beliefs and thoughts is a fight that cannot be allowed to be lost!

And the idea of universities having federal funding cut at the whim of the White House and its lackeys in the Presidential Cabinet is outrageous! For instance with Harvard University, but also many other institutions nationwide, Trump is trying to promote mind control, a tactic of authoritarian regimes to control curriculum, and what can be taught to students.

American universities are the envy of the civilized world, and the battle to prevent “Trumpification” of higher education, and even education below the college level, must be fought for without pause!

Ron DeSantis Strikes Out On Day One, And All Downhill From Now On For Good Reasons!

Ron DeSantis “struck out” on Day One, having problems on Twitter Audio with Elon Musk, and it will be all downhill from now on.

Instead of speaking before an audience of supporters, DeSantis is isolating himself, and talking only to right wing cable and radio shows.

And he is telling us he will be more hardline than Donald Trump was on immigration! And he will consider giving pardons to Insurrectionists from January 6, and even to Trump, if he is convicted!

So DeSantis is against the rule of law, and supporting the sedition and treason of the Insurrectionists, which should, automatically, kill his candidacy!

DeSantis is coming along more than ever as an extreme right wing Fascist, who wants to take away the freedom of women, gays and transgender people, and immigrants!

And he is ignoring evidence of antisemitism in Florida, and warring on Disney, and banning books, and dictating curriculum in public schools and universities, and promoting racism and white supremacy!

Remember he was one of the founders of the Freedom Caucus in the House of Representatives, and a TEA PARTY activist under Barack Obama’s Presidency!

And he wanted to cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid while in Congress, and has used his power to fix legislative and congressional districts to promote gerrymandering, which took away representation from African American in the state of Florida!

He has a wife who is very ambitious and dominating, and he has come across as very phony in his public persona, laughing hysterically that looks preposterous, and lacking any empathy, sincerity, compassion, or common decency!

He is the direct opposite of the personality and character of President Joe Biden, and for anyone to support him as the “better” alternative, would need his or her head examined!

Outrage Over Palm Beach Atlantic University English Professor Fired Over “Racial Justice” In Syllabus!

A shocking event occurred at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida this week!

This private Christian liberal arts university summarily dismissed an English professor, Sam Joeckel, who had taught at the school for 21 years with no issues or problems, based on a parent of a student complaining that the subject of “racial justice” was a possible written assignment in the curriculum of the course, something that was in the syllabus for the past dozen years or more, without any controversy.

The university does not give tenure, and clearly, promotes a narrow minded view of Christianity, not in any way representative of the teachings of Jesus Christ, but instead wishing to undermine the reality of racial bias that has existed in America throughout its history, right up to the present time!

The professor was denied access to his office, and fired in the middle of a course that his students signed up for to end in late April-early May.

What kind of a message does this send to anyone who attends Palm Beach Atlantic University?

It says college students are not adults, and can have their parents intervene to complain about a professor and his course materials, a total outrage!

It says there is no concern about the rights and common decency that any college professor should have at any university, whether public, private, or religiously based!

It says there is no sensitivity to the reality of multi ethnic America!

This outrage calls for a massive law suit against Palm Beach Atlantic University, as they have done untold damage to the reputation and economic benefit of a dedicated professor, who was treated as garbage!

It calls for a massive boycott of the university, and any decent person who attends there should find another university to continue work towards his or her degree!

Florida Going Nuts Over “Critical Race Theory” In Math Textbooks! Absolute Looniness!

The state of Florida is becoming a nightmare, as Ron DeSantis is promoting the concept that “Critical Race Theory” is permeating, of all things, MATH textbooks!

Critical Race Theory is not taught in public schools, but DeSantis is determined that any concept of race in any curriculum must be banned, and it is not just Florida leading the fight for banning race, as if somehow, that would mean that children would not be exposed to the reality of race as a factor in American society and history!

This is exasperating, as to claim that math cen be hijacked, along with the entire school curriculum, is totally preposterous and outrageous!

As this author and blogger indicated yesterday, Ron DeSantis is out of control, acting like a Fascist dictator, including working to deny African Americans in Florida fair representation in Congress.

This man is more dangerous than even Donald Trump, as he is willing to stop at nothing to become the Republican Presidential nominee, including not standing aside if Donald Trump announces for President!

DeSantis has become a much younger Donald Trump in his manner, his arrogance, his biases, his agenda, his lack of any limitations on his lust for power, and he MUST be stopped!

Ron DeSantis More Dangerous Than Was George Wallace In 1960s Or Huey Long In 1930s

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has become an authoritarian, arrogant, dangerous leader of the third largest state in population in America, and it is clear that he is full steam ahead in his pursuit of the Republican Presidential nomination in 2024, even if Donald Trump ends up announcing for President.

Highly ambitious, and willing to do anything to promote his populist views against the establishment in every respect, DeSantis should be seen as much more dangerous than an earlier popullst, Alabama Governor George Wallace was in the 1960s, including when he ran on a third party American Independent party line in 1968, winning five states, 46 electoral votes, and 13.5 percent of the national popular vote.

Ron DeSantis clearly will stop at nothing in his quest for power, as he has now made victims of women, minority groups, gay and transgender people, children, and promoted banning books and interfering with educational curriculum, and even the right of Floridians to vote in a system based on democracy and representation by promoting extreme gerrymandering.

DeSantis is interfering with his own party in the legislature, reminding us of Huey Long of Louisiana in the 1930s, as dictatorial in approach as Long was, alarming many at the time and now.

DeSantis has adopted Trump tactics, including showing his signature in a “show and tell” after signing legislation or an executive order. But he is also smarter and more than thirty years younger than Trump, and he is hell bent on storming the opposition in his own party, and taking over the federal government with an extremist right wing agenda. He has declared war on common decency, compassion, empathy, and humanity, all represented by President Joe Biden.

DeSantis has no limits to his agenda to promote the return of America to its past, rather than its multi ethnic future, and the goal must be to stop him in his tracks from reaching the White House, as American Fascism would be the result!
