Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson Both “Clear And Present Danger” To American Democracy

Not only is Donald Trump a threat to American democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law, who now has been revealed to have had up to seven contacts with Vladimir Putin since he left the Presidency.

But also, billionaire Elon Musk and extremist right wing commentator Tucker Carlson have laughed at Elon Musk’s earlier statement that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have not been threatened as Donald Trump was by two assassination attempts, but further joked about the idea that it could happen to Harris!

This is freedom of speech gone amuck, and makes both Musk and Carlson “clear and present dangers”, who need to be warned that such statements are NOT freedom of speech, but threats to a Presidential candidate, and that prosecution by the Secret Service could be in the offing!

Public figures such as Musk and Carlson can have the potential to incite bloodshed and violence by their reckless oratory, and assassination is not something to laugh about!

They are not “normal” citizens, but rather public figures who can influence unstable people with the idea that it is legitimate to threaten Presidential candidates, so they need to be warned to stop such rhetoric immediately!

Universities And The Israel-Hamas War: The Appropriate Role For Professors

The sad and tragic events occurring at many universities and college across tha nation regarding the Israel-Hamas War are inciting anti Jewish and anti Muslim hatred, which is deplorable!

And the fact that there are university and college professors who are abandoning their role as moderators of differences, and actively engaging in promoting occupation of university facilities and extremist actions and rhetoric, is totally outrageous and unacceptable behavior!

The role of professors is to promote dialogue and discussion, and work to promote understanding, but their standing as faculty does not give them the right to provoke extremist actions of any kind!

Free speech and the right to demonstrations on public issues does not certify the right to occupy buildings and provoke violence, so professors lose their high ethical and moral standing when they do so, and it should be condemned by all reasonable people!

Vicious, Unwarranted Attacks On A Great Man, Dr. Anthony Fauci!

Fox News Channel host Jesse Watters has issued a call for threats on Dr. Anthony Fauci, calling for him to be “ambushed” with a “kill shot”! He spoke at a right wing conference (Turning Point USA) over the weekend, stirring the crowd with ridiculous, unfounded conspiracy theories about Fauci being involved in a Chinese lab that purportedly produced the COVID 19 Pandemic. Watters also talked about filming any confrontations with Fauci, and puts the brilliant doctor under growing death threats!

This is symbolism that could inspire crazy right wing conspiracy theorists to promote an assassination threat, with Fauci already needing security!

No media figure should ever threaten the lives of public figures without being prosecuted, and Fauci has called for the firing of Jesse Watters, but Fox News Channel, predictably, has defended him!

When a person issues a threat that is a “clear and present danger”, he or she should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, as “freedom of speech” has its limits, when it presents a danger to others!
