JD Vance Of Ohio

The Tim Walz-JD Vance Vice Presidential Debate

Tonight, CBS will sponsor the one Vice Presidential debate, between Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Ohio Senator JD Vance.

Walz has years of experience in government, as a House member for 12 years and as Minnesota Governor for six years, while Vance has less than two years in the US Senate as his total government experience.

Sadly, the fact that one candidate has much more experience does not mean that such candidate has an edge over his opponent, because experience is often not a factor in who will triumph in a debate or in an election at any level.

However, the fact that Donald Trump is 78 years old and in cognitive decline makes the reality of 40 year old JD Vance much more terrifying, as clearly, if Trump is elected, it is likely that Vance might succeed him during the term, and if not, would be the frontrunner for his party in 2028.

There is a general feeling that Tim Walz would be far less a problem to worry about, were he, somehow, to succeed to the Presidency.

JD Vance clearly is a liar and a chameleon, and should not be a heartbeat away from the Oval Office.

Tonight’s debate will showcase the differences between the two candidates.

Tim Walz-JD Vance Vice Presidential Debate Set For October 1

CBS will sponsor a Vice Presidential debate between Democratic nominee Tim Walz and Republican nominee JD Vance on Tuesday, October 1.

The vast and dramatic differences between Walz and Vance will be on display, with Walz having made a great positive impact, and Vance being seen as a total disaster, with some Trump supporters wishing he would disappear.

Vance is making it clear that he is connected to right wing billionaire Peter Thiel, and is perceived as a threat in the future, the true heir of MAGA Republicans, as the long range leader after Donald Trump, who might not survive psychologically through a full term, were he to be elected.

Vance has jumped on “single cat ladies”, and Walz’s long military service as issues, neither of which promotes the Republican party future, as only alienating independent voters, as well as women, young people, and racial minorities, all veering toward the Democrats.

Walz comes across as a very decent, compassionate former educator and coach, in the tradition of Hubert Humphrey and other Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor party luminaries of the past, as well as the present, such as Amy Klobuchar.

The 20 year age difference between Walz and Vance will be an advantage for Walz, while the opposite is the case for the nearly 20 year difference between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, when they have their ABC debate on September 10.

Donald Trump And Crowd Sizes: Totally Unhinged!

Donald Trump held a press conference at Mar a Lago on Thursday, rambling on for 75 minutes. His performance was clearly a melt down of major proportions.

He told a ton of lies, but what stood out even more was his obsession, as always, with the size of his crowds at public rallies and other events.

Trump has claimed that his 2017 Inauguration crowd was larger than that of Barack Obama in 2009, a total lie. This blogger and author was actually present at that historic inauguration, and knows personally how massive that crowd was on a very cold day, but people were willing to tolerate the cold weather.

Trump is now contesting, against reality, that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz only had about 2,000 people at their rallies in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, when the totals were between 12,000 and 15,000 at each rally, with the last two outside and in very hot weather.

And even more crazy, Trump is claiming that his crowds at many events, including his inauguration, were greater than on August 28, 1963, when Martin Luther King Jr. spoke before a crowd of 250,000 at the March on Washington!

Trump came up with absolutely insane numbers much higher than that date’s 250,000.

One has to say that seriously, Trump is in rapid decline, as the oldest Presidential nominee in American history!

If somehow he is elected, JD Vance will be the nightmare who is our President, despite the fact that he is a massive phony, who is a chameleon willing to say anything to advance himself!

Danger Of Extremism Escalation By Donald Trump Supporters

The good news coming out after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump is that Trump and Joe Biden have spoken, and they had a cordial call.

Also, Trump has said his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday has been modified to promote the idea of unity.

It seems that Trump, having a near death experience, may have been sobered in his approach to rhetoric, and we can hope so.

But that does not mean that his most vehement supporters, necessarily, will take the same view, as already, there are conspiracy theories on the internet and social media, designed to divide and stir up animosity against Democrats and President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

So there are fears that there could be more violence and potential bloodshed for the next four months of the Presidential and Congressional election campaigns.

And there is still the danger that the right wing, if they lose, will refuse to accept the results, and another January 6 type Insurrection or worse, could be in the offing.

Everyone needs to make an effort to calm partisan rhetoric that encourages confrontation, and while making partisan points, promotes the concept of a peaceful resolution of who is elected to run our federal, state, and local governments.

The news that Ohio Senator JD Vance has been chosen as Donald Trump’s Vice Presidential running mate is a clear sign that no matter what Trump said about “unity”, it is not going to happen.

More about Vance tomorrow!

Potential VP Picks For Trump Contrast With Kamala Harris

There has been relentless criticism over the years of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Critics have said she is not bright, that she laughs too much, and that she is difficult to work with.

What it comes down to, however, is that she is a mixed race woman of India and Jamaica ancestry.

Harris has had great experience as District Attorney of San Francisco, California Attorney General, California US Senator, and now the 49th Vice President.

If suddenly called upon to assume the Oval Office, she would be far better qualified by experience and accomplishments than many of her predecessors.

When one examines the potential VP choices of Donald Trump, none match her experience, intelligence, and concern for average Americans.

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik of New York is a lightweight sycophant, abandoning her once moderate views.

South Carolina Senator Tim Scott lost all respect when he said he “loved” Trump, while Florida Congressman Byron Donalds has made a fool of himself, in trying to justify “Jim Crow” racism. Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson is an embarrassment to be on the list at all.

Ohio Senator JD Vance, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, and Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton are among the worst MAGA Republicans in the Senate.

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, mostly unknown nationally but very wealthy, is also on the list.

This list makes former Vice President Mike Pence look great, but unlike Pence, they are all willing to bend to every whim and fancy of Donald Trump.

Vice Presidential Contenders Make Themselves Subservient To Donald Trump

The Vice Presidential “sweepstakes” for those who want to be Donald Trump’s running mate is a total disgrace.

Instead of credentials mattering, and the idea of whether someone is qualified to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency, instead we are having ill-qualified people who are making themselves look subservient.

So Kristi Noem brags about killing her puppy.

Tim Scott refuses to say if he will accept the results in November no matter what happens.

Doug Burgum also seems willing to allow his great fortune to be exploited by Donald Trump, who is running way behind in fundraising to Joe Biden.

Elise Stefanik sold her soul long ago to Donald Trump, making clear her ambition to reach a level she is not qualified for.

Vivek Ramaswamy specializes in being totally obnoxious and obsequious to the extreme.

Marco Rubio and JD Vance are unprincipled phonies who are flattered by Trump considering them.

And then, there is former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, who embraced Syria’s dictator, and has changed her political views so radically from what they were, that one wonders about her mental stability. She seems ready to sell herself to the highest bidder, so to speak, as she flirted with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. before he passed her over.

What a horrible, unqualified bunch, when compared to Vice President Kamala Harris, who may laugh too much, but what is so wrong with that? She also is super qualified when compared to this bunch of characters!

Better than the nasty, grievance laden attitude of Trump and his minions!

The Ten Best And Ten Worst US Senators In The 118th Congress

Creating a list of the ten best and ten worst US Senators in the 118th Congress is based on their viewpoints and utterances over their careers.

Of course, it is subjective in nature, but based on careful consideration and analysis.
