JD Vance Is Outrageous In Rhetoric Against Kamala Harris!

Ohio Senator JD Vance, the Vice Presidential nominee with Donald Trump, has become a “clear and present danger” by his outrageous rhetoric, simply by asserting that Kamala Harris has not been threatened with her life, as Donald Trump has now been twice threatened by potential assassins. That is totally inappropriate to say by any candidate!

It is Trump and Vance who have been speaking and threatening bloodshed and violence, and unwillingness to accept election results, and it is the Republican Presidential team which is using incendiary language and promoting racism, misogyny and causing grief to Haitian immigrants and the city of Springfield, Ohio!

Considering that Trump and Vance have utilized confrontational language and attacked the news media for reporting their evil deeds, it is them that have provoked danger and hatred, not Kamala Harris, or Joe Biden, or Tim Walz! Their incendiary language provokes unstable people, and is a danger to public safety!

Trump has talked about a “dictatorship on Day One”, which requires a response.

JD Vance has spread rumors that have caused a crisis in Springfield, Ohio, and refused to stop spreading lies and fear, and he needs to be held accountable.

His mistreatment of Dana Bash of CNN last Sunday showed he is a dangerous demagogue, who must not be allowed to become a heartbeat away from the Presidency!

Donald Trump has given us a nightmare candidate in JD Vance, clearly the most dangerous and disgraceful nominee in modern history for the number two office, making Sarah Palin and Dan Quayle look far better!

Growing Danger Of More Assassination Threats Against Both Sides In Presidential Race!

America is in the throes of a major crisis of threats and reality of violence, mostly caused by the easy access and prevalence of weapons of war, AK 47’s and AR 15s.

Whether it is schools, churches, shopping malls, public events, or just any other public place, the level of serious gun violence is out of control.

And yet, any discussion of the need for regulations and reforms goes nowhere.

Meanwhile, the rhetoric of political violence has escalated, and all members of Congress, state governments, and the competing Presidential campaigns and candidates are under greater threats, only accentuated by now the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump in two months.

Sadly, a lot of the violence and threats has been encouraged by the incendiary rhetoric of Trump himself, and his running mate for Vice President, JD Vance. When they promote division and fiery rhetoric, including calling for “Dictatorship on Day One”, and talk about “bloodbath” and other such language, and incite people against a specific racial or religious group, as they have in recent weeks, the old saying is that they “reap what they sow”. But instead, right wing media fails to see the truth, and instead blames Democrats warning against such violence and incitement, for what is occurring.

Clearly, much more must be done to protect all Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates and their families, but the level of incendiary rhetoric MUST STOP now!

The Harris-Trump Presidential Debate: A Grand Slam Homerun And More!

Last night’s Presidential debate was a grand slam homerun and more for Kamala Harris over Donald Trump!

Harris made mincemeat of Trump, and the former President made more than 30 lies, topping the number he made in the CNN debate against President Joe Biden on June 27.

Trump looked like a worn out old man, incapable of facing reality and facts, and Harris was a brilliant prosecutor in confronting Trump with his lies and deceit!

Trump made proposterous claims that made one wonder if he is sane, and Brit Hume of Fox News Channel, no liberal, made it clear that it was Harris’s night.

An early poll shows Harris with a 63-37 result against Trump, and it seems highly likely that she will go into a clearcut lead over Trump in the coming weeks.

There was nothing about Trump that will convince new voters to consider supporting him, and it likely will cause some shift of former Trump supporters to Harris.

It is time for change, and Kamala Harris proved her brilliance and talent to be Commander in Chief!

Age, Gender, Race, And Education Gap In Polls On Presidential Election Of 2024

At this point of the campaign for the Presidential Election Of 2024, there is a major age, gender, race, and education gap developing.

Young women are overwhelmingly favoring Kamala Harris, while young men are giving a slight edge to Donald Trump.

Also, older white men are giving a wider margin to Trump, while older white women are more evenly divided.

One must recall that younger voters in the Presidential Election of 2020 gave the edge to Joe Biden.

Now, overall, younger voters, women voters, and racial minority voters (Black, Latino) are clearly favoring Harris, along with college educated voters and suburbanites, while older voters, less educated white voters, and rural voters, are favoring Trump.

Whether these major divisions based on age, gender, race, education, and location of population will be sustained by Election Day will be interesting to watch!

Both Biden And Harris Strongest Supporters Of Organized Labor Since FDR And Truman!

Both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have had strong labor union support, emphasized on Labor Day this past Monday.

Biden has had a strong record of support of organized labor, and walked the picket lines recently, which no earlier President has done.

Harris made clear his commitment to support of labor and its basic rights in campaign events, and already, both Biden and Harris have a record of stronger support than any President since Franklin D. Roosevelt, who promoted the National Labor Relations (Wagner Act) in 1935, and Harry Truman, who vetoed (unsuccessfully) the Taft Hartley Act of 1947.

Essential For Democratic Senate Majority To Defeat Josh Hawley, Or Rick Scott, Or Ted Cruz In November!

In order for Democrats to retain control of the US Senate, it is urgent that at least one of the following three Republican Senators, all highly disliked for their extreme right wing views, lose reelection in November.

Josh Hawley in Missouri
Rick Scott in Florida
Ted Cruz in Texas

The listing of the above is in the order of the possibility of defeating any of the three, with it being tough to win even one of these seats.

It requires, also, that every Democratic seat be retained, including the most endangered–Sherrod Brown in Ohio, and Jon Tester in Montana.

West Virginia, sadly, will go Republican with Jim Justice replacing the retiring Joe Manchin, but if the Democrats win the Presidency, Tim Walz will be Vice President, and there would be at least a 50-50 tie in the Senate as occurred in the first two years of the Joe Biden Presidency.

Having Opposition Party In A President’s Administration A Tradition!

It is quite common for a President of one party to select a leading figure of the other party to be part of his Administration.

The number of examples abound, as follows:

John F. Kennedy appointed Republicans including:

Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense
C. Douglas Dillon as Secretary of the Treasury
Henry Cabot Lodge Jr as Ambassador to South Vietnam

Lyndon B. Johnson appointed Republicans including:

John W. Gardner as Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare
Henry Cabot Lodge Jr as Ambassador to West Germany

Richard Nixon appointed Democrats including:

Sargent Shriver as Ambassador to France
John Connally as Secretary of the Treasury

Gerald Ford appointed Democrats including:

Daniel Patrick Moynihan as Ambassador to the United Nations

Jimmy Carter appointed Republicans including:

James Schlesinger as Secretary of Energy
William H. Webster as Director of the FBI

Ronald Reagan appointed Democrats including:

Mike Mansfield as Ambassador to Japan
Jeane Kirkpatrick as Ambassador to the United Nations
William Bennett as Secretary of Education

George H W Bush appointed Democrats including:

Robert Strauss as Ambassador to the Soviet Union/Russia

Bill Clinton appointed Republicans including:

William Cohen as Secretary of Defense

George W. Bush appointed Democrats including:

Norman Mineta as Secretary of Transportation

Barack Obama appointed Republicans including:

Robert Gates as Secretary of Defense
Jon Huntsman Jr. as Ambassador to China
Robert Mueller as Director of the FBI
Ray Lahood as Secretary of Transportation
Chuck Hagel as Secretary of Defense

Donald Trump appointed Democrats including:

Gary Cohn as Director of the National Economic Council

Joe Biden appointed Republicans, including:

Christopher Wray as Director of the FBI
Jerome Powell as Chairman of the Federal Reserve
Jeff Flake as Ambassador to Turkey
Meg Whitman as Ambassador to Kenya

RFK Jr.–A Disgrace To His Father’s Memory, And A Hypocrite To His Own Environmental Legacy!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the namesake of his famous father, has become a disgrace to his revered father’s memory!

He has caused great distress in his own family circles, among his siblings, and even more so for his mother, Ethel Kennedy, age 96, who has been widowed for 56 years.

He has disgraced his own admirable environmental advocacy from decades ago, when he was distinguished as a reformer.

His own issues with drug addiction, alcoholism, and sexual escapades have doomed his earlier, admirable qualities.

His family’s connection and loyalty to Joe Biden has been besmirched by his reckless, preposterous campaign for President, which now has ended with an endorsement of Donald Trump, a man who shares in his corruption in so many ways, but is a repudiation of his long term reputation, now lying in tatters. And now, he claims he would be on the transition team for Donald Trump if he wins back the Presidency.

His three marriages, including his second wife committing suicide, considered provoked by RFK Jr’s mistreatment of her emotional problems, have also made one wonder about his sanity.

His present marriage, to actress Cheryl Hines, seems in danger too, as a result of his endorsement of Trump, and he is certainly the “dark sheep” of the family.

What, if any, effect RFK Jr. will have on the Presidential race is hard to fathom, but his support went down dramatically when Joe Biden dropped out of the race, and Kamala Harris replaced him as the Democratic Presidential nominee.

Joe Biden Record Exceptional On Environmental Issues!

It is amazing how Republicans have bad mouthed Joe Biden’s record in office, lying constantly.

In so many areas, Joe Biden has been a true “star”, and one of those often ignored is his record on environmental issues.

Biden will rank among the top few Presidents on environmental matters.

Donald Trump has been the worst of all Presidents, surpassing Ronald Reagan, on the environment, and promotes the idea of more oil and coal exploration, no matter what its effect on the earth and its inhabitants.

Biden has had a great team to work on issues of climate change and global warming, including John Kerry (Special Envoy For Climate Change), Deb Haaland (Secretary of the Interior), Jennifer Granholm (Secretary of Energy), and Michael Regan ( Environmental Protection Agency Administrator).

Prospects For Democratic Congress Improve Due To Kamala Harris Candidacy

The prospects for a Democratic controlled 119th Congress (2025-2027) have been vastly improved by the Presidential candidacy of Kamala Harris, and her Vice Presidential running mate Tim Walz.

Things looked gloomy before Joe Biden decided to withdraw, but now the excitement over Harris and Walz have boosted the hopes for Democrats to regain control of the House of Representatives, and maintain and maybe gain seats in the US Senate.

Public opinion polls show a boost in the candidacies of incumbent Democratic Senators all over the nation, and the prospects for gaining seats in the House in New York, Florida, and California seem promising.

And there are hopes that possibly three Republican Senators, who are not very popular, could lose their seats.

Rick Scott in Florida, Ted Cruz in Texas, and Josh Hawley in Missouri face tight races for now at least, from Debbie Mucarsel Powell, Collin Allred, and Lucas Kunce, respectively.

If at least one of these unpopular Senators were to lose, that would be a major boost for the Democrats.
