First Day Testimony Of Four Police Officers Before The January 6 Commission Gripping And Emotional!

Today’s first day testimony of four police officers before the January 6 Commission on the January 6 Insurrection was truly gripping and very emotional.

All four officers demonstrated great courage in how they handled themselves on January 6, working to protect the US Capitol and the members of Congress who were threatened that day by seditionists and traitors.

Particularly disturbing was the description by an African American officer of the racist statements made to his face by these insurrectionists.

Particular kudos are due to Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger for their commitment to truth, facts, and holding those accountable for the disgraceful violence and bloodshed of that day.

The Republican leadership, led by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, is destroying the image of the party as supporters of the law enforcement community, by their denial of reality of what truly happened on January 6.

Kevin McCarthy must be called to testify, and not be allowed to evade responsibility for his sins in backing Donald Trump in this debacle.

Six Months Since January 6 US Capitol Insurrection

It has been six months since the January 6, 2021 US Capitol Insurrection.

Over 500 seditionists and traitors to the US Constitution have been arrested for the domestic violence, bloodshed, and destruction they perpetrated on the cradle of American democracy, and they need the full effect of law enforcement to be brought upon them.

The investigation of what happened that day is moving ahead whether or not Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell and the Republican Congressional members want it to procede.

Those members of Congress or their staffs who collaborated in the events of that day need to be prosecuted and expelled from Congress.

White supremacy must be eliminated from the halls of Congress, and Donald Trump needs to be indicted for insurrection, treason, and sedition, and be shown in handcuffs, and sentenced to federal prison, as in the same disgraced company of such traitors as Benedict Arnold, Aaron Burr, Jefferson Davis and others in the American past!

A salute to Republicans Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois for being supportive of the January 6 House Committee creation, and Cheney’s accepting membership offered by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi!

Enhanced defense and readiness for the US Capitol is essential, due to the right wing threats of more violence, due to the QAnon promotion of the crazy idea of Donald Trump returning to the Presidency in August.

And greater protection is required of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, their families, and the same for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and other Democratic and Republican members of Congress who have expressed loyalty to the Constitution and rule of law!

Dr. Anthony Fauci has been a true hero and treasure in this COVID 19 Pandemic, in his role as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Chief Medical Advisor to President Biden, after having been ignored and rebuked much of the time by former President Donald Trump.

If Trump had followed the advice of Fauci in 2020, we would not today have reached the horrifying figure of 600,000 dead from COVID 19!

Trump was responsible for the greatest loss of life in one year in American history, and yet Republicans, many of them anti vaccinators and anti maskers, have the gall to attack Fauci, and call for his resignation.

Right Wing Media, including Fox News Channel, and Tucker Carlson, and others, have joined in the demand for resignation of Fauci!

Just look at who is calling for this—Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jim Jordan, Kevin McCarthy, Rand Paul, Tom Cotton, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and many others, all who are well known to be anti science and anti truth!

Kevin McCarthy has a problem on his hands, and chose to ignore it until finally forced to speak up and condemn Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia for comparing a mask mandate in the House of Representatives to the Holocaust that killed six million Jews.

Greene is an antisemite, who crazily came up with the concept of Jewish space lasers as the cause for wildfires in California and other Western states, rather than the reality of Climate Change.

The Republican Party is unwilling to promote the expulsion of Greene, who already has been forced off all committees in the House of Representatives, and now has time to cause more trouble, and yet have no impact on House committees or actions.

The woman is mentally ill, and needs to be committed to a mental institution as a danger to society!

The Republican Party is appealing to the worst elements in America, and the thought that the party could be the majority after the 2022 midterm elections is terrifying!

Kevin McCarthy wants so much to be Speaker of the House, that he will tolerate any whackos in the Republican Conference.

And now another whacko, Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, has declared she wants to run for Speaker against McCarthy in 2022!

An Investigation Of The January 6 Capitol Insurrection Will Occur With Or Without GOP Backing!

It looks as if the Republican Party will refuse to participate in a bipartisan investigation of the January 6 Capitol Insurrection.

But the House of Representatives will conduct such an investigation no matter what, and since 35 Republicans in the House voted for such an investigation, it is likely that some of them, like Lynn Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and John Katko will cooperate and make it bipartisan even if the Republican Party as a whole stonewalls looking for the truth.

The truth and facts will come out one way or the other, but it would be better to have a bipartisan effort.

By all rights, Kevin McCarthy, Steve Scalise, and Mitch McConnell should all be forced out of office as promoting the “Big Lie” and not caring about the Capitol Police who were assaulted on January 6.

The Republican Party is in free fall, with no future as long as they kiss up to the Fascist dictator, Donald Trump, who seems likely to be indicted soon and hopefully, end up in prison!

January 6 Commission Is Essential To Investigate, Hold Accountable, And Avoid Future Insurrection!

The creation of the January 6 Commission on the Capitol Insurrection is essential, in order to investigate, hold accountable, and avoid future such insurrections.

But only 35 Republicans voted for the Commission, along with all Democrats, making the vote 252-175.

However, all 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump in January came through, along with 25 other courageous Republicans, defying the leadership of Kevin McCarthy and Steve Scalise, the two leading Republican House leaders.

The Senate might prevent such a January 6 Commission, still uncertain, and it will undermine the Republican Party reputation if that occurs, so right now, the nation is in limbo until the Senate vote occurs after a likely long debate.

Ten Republicans would need to support the creation of the Commission, but only seven Senators voted to convict Trump, so the question is whether those seven and three more will be willing to do the right thing!

Kevin McCarthy Demonstrates Why He Should Be Removed From Congress!

The Republican Party has gone from the destructive “McCarthyism” of seventy years ago to the destructive Trumpism of the 2020s, and in both cases, a McCarthy is the villain!

They are not related in any way, other than being despicable power grabbers who have no principles other than self aggrandizement!

McCarthy wants desperately to be Speaker of the House, and everything must be done to prevent that from happening in the midterm 2022 elections!

McCarthy should be summarily removed from House Republican leadership, and should be removed from Congress for his treason and sedition on January 6, and his sycophancy toward Donald Trump, when he knows that Trump is evil and a danger to American democracy!

McCarthy has condemned himself in history, and will be seen as a promoter of Fascist tyranny in history!

He should never have a restful sleep ever again for the damage he has done, and absolutely no conscience or common decency!

“War” Between House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy And Congresswoman Liz Cheney

The split in the House Republican minority after the January 6 Capitol Insurrection is widening, as a small band of House Republicans, led by Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, continues to denounce Donald Trump and criticize House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California for refusing to separate himself and the majority of the Republican House Caucus from continued support of the former President.

One must realize that 139 of the 212 Republicans in the House of Representatives refused to support the Electoral College vote of January 6, certifying the victory of Joe Biden over Donald Trump, and they are still remaining loyal to Trump, as he ponders running again for President in 2024.

They are traitors, seditionists, white supremacists, and domestic terrorists, who try to make what happened with the Capitol Insurrection seemingly nothing much at all, and Liz Cheney and about ten others have defied McCarthy, and Cheney is raising the ante, and McCarthy is working to undermine her third ranking position as Republican Conference Chairperson.

The future of the Republican Party and its reputation is at state, and it looks likely that the party as we know it is doomed in its future!

Former Speaker Of The House John Boehner Tells It All In New Memoir!

This author and blogger has never been a fan of former Speaker of the House John Boehner (2011-2015).

The Ohio Congressman made life difficult for President Barack Obama, but as disgraceful as he was, he looks better compared to the next Republican leaders in the House of Representatives, Paul Ryan (2015-2019), and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who if the House goes Republican in the midterm elections of 2022 could be, god forbid, the next Speaker of the House after Nancy Pelosi.

Boehner comes across as a conservative Republican who had to deal with the extremist right wing Tea Party Movement, which he had issues with for their extreme stands, and ultimately, which forced him out of the Speakership late in 2015.

He has made clear in a new memoir his condemnation of Donald Trump, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan, and many other Republicans who he believes have undermined the Republican Party and its future.

Attorney General Merrick Garland Confirmed; Now Time For Prosecutions Of January 6 Traitors In Congress!

Attorney General Merrick Garland was finally confirmed today by a vote of 70-30 in the Senate.

It is now time for prosecutions of the January 6 Capitol Attack Conspirators, not only the men and women who stormed the building and threatened members of Congress, but also those traitors in Congress who promoted and encouraged the seditionist actions.

This includes the Senators and Congressmen who refused to support the Electoral College results, and those who took some of the people involved in the insurrection on tours of the building a day or two before.

The evidence is strong against Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Madison Cawthorn, Paul Gosar, Jim Jordan, Mo Brooks and others in the House, and against Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, and six other Senators. Also, House Republican leaders, including Kevin McCarthy and Steve Scalise and others need to be held accountable!

It is time for them to pay the price for their treasonous actions, and they all need the full prosecution and punishment that they deserve!
