Markwayne Mullin Of Oklahoma

Republican Senators Who Are Likely To Oppose Some Trump Cabinet Nominees

Signs that a substantial number of Republican Senators are seen as likely to oppose some Donald Trump Cabinet nominees, particularly Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense; Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence; and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Among those Senators who have issues with Trump appointees are the following:

Lisa Murkowski of Alaska
Thom Tillis of North Carolina
Todd Young of Indiana
Jonie Ernst of Iowa
Mitch McConnell of Kentucky
Bill Cassidy of Louisiana
Susan Collins of Maine
James Lankford of Oklahoma
Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma
John Cornyn of Texas
John Curtis of Utah (Senator Elect)
Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia

If four or more of this group vote against any of the above appointees or any others, such individual would not be able to be part of the Cabinet or other advisers.

However, the concept of a “recess” appointment could become a controversial action taken by Donald Trump, which would likely become a legal issue, and be seen as a grab for power.

Republican Party Disasters: House Of Representatives And Senate!

The Republican Party is the party of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson of Louisiana.

It is the party of New York Congressman George Santos.

It is the party of Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin.

It is the party of Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville.

It is the party of Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.

It is the party of Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert.

It is the party of Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz.

It is the party of Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan.

Does anything more need to be said?

And this is just the tip of the iceberg on the disaster that the Republican Party has become!

The US Senate Hits The 2,000 Mark After 234 Years, With 8 New Senators!

With the Senate retirements and elections of 2022 now part of history, the US Senate has finally hit the 2,000 mark of membership after 234 years of history since 1789.

There are 2,002 people who have served in the Senate, most by election, but some by appointment, with 202 appointed to fill a vacancy since 1913, with the ratification of the 17th Amendment, providing for direct popular election of the US Senate.

Eleven of the present membership of the Senate was originally appointed to fill a vacancy, but have won election to the office since then.

The 8 new Senators are:

Katie Britt (R) Alabama
Ted Budd (R) North Carolina
John Fetterman (D) Pennsylvania
Markwayne Mullin (R) Oklahoma
Eric Schmitt (R) Missouri
J D Vance (R) Ohio
Peter Welch (D) Vermont

All of the above were sworn in opening day of the 118th Congress, January 3, 2023.

Additionally, former Governor Pete Ricketts (R) Nebraska, appointed to replace Senator Ben Sasse, who resigned to become President of the University of Florida, will be sworn in on January 23, 2023 as number 2,002!

Ricketts is part of the family that owns the Chicago Cubs baseball team since 2009!

The 118th Congress Election Deniers: 19 Senators And 154 House Members!

Shocking beyond belief: 19 US Senators and 154 House of Representatives members in the upcoming 118th Congress (2023-2025) are Election Deniers, in regards to the Presidential Election of 2020!

154 Congressmen and women, out of 222 Republicans, so 67 percent of the House Republican caucus!

19 Senators, men and women, out of 49 Republicans, so 40 percent of the Senate Republican caucus!

Among the Senators are:

Marsha Blackburn (Tennessee)
Ted Cruz (Texas)
Bill Hagerty (Tennessee)
Josh Hawley (Missouri)
Ron Johnson (Wisconsin)
John Kennedy (Louisiana)
James Lankford (Oklahoma)
Cynthia Lummis (Wyoming)
Rick Scott (Florida)
Tommy Tuberville (Alabama)

and five newly elected Senators:

Ted Budd (North Carolina)
Katie Britt (Alabama)
Markwayne Mullin (Oklahoma)
Eric Schmitt (Missouri)
J D Vance (Ohio)

So the states of Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Alabama have both of their US Senators as Election Deniers!

What a total disgrace!
