This Thanksgiving is one to commemorate the overall success in the Midterm Elections of 2022, as Joe Biden and the Democratic Party had major successes in the Senate (one seat gain and continued control) and the Governorships (winning three, and losing one, so overall gain of two), with only a small switch in the House, creating a divided Congress, but setting up a situation where the Republican Party will demonstrate its inability to govern effectively!

The only times that the party in the White House had a better result in the past hundred years was in 1934 under Franklin D. Roosevelt, which saw a major gain for the governing Democrats of nine seats gain in the Senate and an equal nine seats gain in the House of Representatives; 1998, when the Democrats under Bill Clinton gained five seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate balance stayed the same; and 2002, when George W. Bush, a year after the September 11 attacks saw a gain for the Republicans of two seats in the Senate and eight seats in the House of Representatives.

The Republican Party campaigned in 2022 on the issues of crime and inflation, but now are making clear their intent only to waste time on investigations of the Biden Administration, including Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. This demagoguery will insure Democrats being able to regain the House of Representatives in 2024, since just like this election, only a few seats will need to be won to take charge once again!

Joe Biden Goes After “MAGA” Republicans As 2022 Midterm Election Campaign Begins!

President Joe Biden went on the offensive yesterday in Maryland, making clear what the issues are, as the Midterm Elections 2022 campaign has begun.

He attacked the “MAGA” Republicans, those who back and support Donald Trump even after all of the horrors of the January 6, 2021 Insurrection have been exposed!

This is the beginning of a nationwide campaign, and Biden was fired up, and looks in great shape as he speaks, inspired by true commitment to exposing the dangers of “MAGA” Republicans!

Biden said violence and hatred have been promoted by the “MAGA” Republicans, and called them “Semi Fascists”!

He said American democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law are in danger.

He made it clear that abortion rights, climate change, voting rights, gun threats, college student loan debt forgiveness, and protection of Social Security, Medicare and Veterans Benefits from proposed Republican desire to phase these “entitlements” out in a five year period, are part of the Democratic Party crusade!

He made it clear he could work with Conservative Republicans such as Larry Hogan, the outgoing governor of Maryland. But he was clearly backing away from the concept of working “across the aisle” with extremist right wing Republicans, and attacked Donald Trump as a “defeated” former President!

If Donald Trump Announces For President Soon, The Presidential Campaign Of 2024 Has Begun!

Presidential campaigns used to begin about a year before the election.

For instance, John F. Kennedy formally announced for President at the beginning of January 1960.

But with the development of primaries and some caucuses over time, it has become customary that once the midterm elections take place, that early in the third year of the Presidential term, we see candidates announcing for President.

But it is now indicated that Donald Trump may announce as early as this month, July 2022, four months before the Midterm Elections of 2022.

Supposedly, he is trying to divert attention from the January 6 House Committee, and the testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson, which makes clear that Trump was engaged in treason and sedition on January 6, 2021, when the US Capitol was attacked.

The potential exists for up to 25 Republicans becoming candidates for the White House.

And if Joe Biden chooses not to run, or even if he does, there is also the potential for an equal 25 Democrats to engage in the Presidential campaign, although the number proabably would be lower than the number of Republicans.

US Senate Races Crucial For Both Democrats And Republicans In 2022

As in every even year, the US Senate faces one third of its membership facing election contests this November.

Six Senators are retiring, five Republican (Richard Shelby of Alabama, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Richard Burr of North Carolina, Rob Portman of Ohio, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania), and one Democrat (Patrick Leahy of Vermont).

Besides these six open seats, 28 other Senators are running for reelection, with a total of 20 Republican seats up, and 14 Democrats.

This should give the Democrats the advantage in gaining seats, and if even one seat is added, the Democrats will have control, and if two seats are gained, the unreliability of Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Joe Manchin of West Virginia will not have as much impact and influence in holding up Democratic Party goals for legislation.

On the other hand, if the Republicans gain just one seat, Mitch McConnell becomes Majority Leader, and this will hamper the remainder of the Joe Biden Presidency in this term.

The best hopes for the Democrats are to win Ohio with Congressman Tim Ryan, who was a Presidential contender in 2020; North Carolina; Pennsylvania; Wisconsin; and Florida, where Marco Rubio faces challenge from Congresswoman Val Demings.

THe best hopes for the Republicans are to win Arizona, where Mark Kelly faces a tough fight; Georgia, where Reverend Ralphael Warnock has a serious challenge; Nevada, where Catherine Cortez Masto has a close race; and New Hampshire, where Maggie Hassan has a challenging race.

The Republican Party Has Become A Full Blown Fascist Party, Warring On Women, Minorities, Immigrants, Labor, The Environment, And More!

Sad to say, but it is now clear that the Republican Party in Congress and in many states has become a full blown Fascist Party, warring on women, minorities, immigrants, labor, the environment, and all decent, humane tendencies. They appeal to mob rule and violence!

Of course, there are exceptions, so those Republicans could best be defined as RINOs (Republicans In Name Only), the name given to them by the Fascist oriented Republican office holders.

The Republican Party broadly has refused to recognize and respect women’s rights, which includes the right to control their own bodies and reproduction choices. They claim they are Pro Life when they are unconcerned about the quality of life of anyone other than the elite wealthy upper class! And once a fetus is born, these Fascist Republicans have no concern about their quality of life, including their health care, education, and housing!

The Republicans appeal to struggling whites by promoting the Christian religion, when they totally distort the whole meaning of the teachings of Jesus!

They appeal to the racist beliefs of whites who want to blame African Americans, Latino Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, and also Jewish Americans for the lack of progress of so many. Particularly, rural whites are manipulated by Republicans so they can keep their power by gerrymandering and distorting the Electoral College, even when they cannot win national popular elections!

The idea that America is an immigrant nation has been destroyed by Republicans who are too willing to blame new immigrant groups, as earlier groups were blamed for the shortcomings in society. These were caused by greedy capitalists and corrupt politicians, who want power, and will do anything venal to gain it and keep it, while ignoring the many issues of degradation and struggle for survival and advancement in American society.

And in the name of greedy American capitalism, Republicans refuse to deal with climate change and global warming, and have no concern about the effect on the environment, as along as they can enrich themselves, and ignore the future, and reject science and facts!

So many of the Republican officeholders are wretched excuses for human beings, and have not a bit of empathy, compassion, decency, or humanity, and promote hate, division, and hide the crimes that have occurred under Donald Trump, and on January 6, 2021!

They will do anything to cover their sins and crimes, and they must be defeated in 2022 and 2024 to preserve the American republic and the concept of democracy, not only for Americans, but as a model for the world in the future!
