61st Anniversary Of JFK Assassination: It Still Hurts!

As I write this blog entry, the time of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy arrives, the most tragic event of my lifetime until September 11, 2001!

A young, vibrant, charismatic, good looking young President, murdered at a time when there was hope and optimism about the future of America.

This is very different than the present sense of pessimism and dread that millions of Americans feel after the nation has put into the White House a man who represents the worst elements of the American experience.

The fact that two women–Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris–who represented the sense of hope and change that Kennedy represented six decades ago, lost to Trump is very much a source of disappointment.

It is not as if John F. Kennedy was perfect or had a perfect rcord in office, but he inspired millions by being the youngest elected President in American history.

And the fact that his nephew, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has so damaged the historical memory of both his father, Robert F. Kennedy, who was also taken from the nation by assassination, and his uncle, by his horrendous and lunatic conspiracy theories about health and medicine, is tragic.

And the fact that RFK Jr. is about to work with Donald Trump in undermining the health care system, makes the anniversary of the JFK Assassination more depressing than ever before.

Two “Democrats” Who Now Are MAGA Republicans And Cabinet Members!

It is stunning that two former Democrats are now MAGA Republicans, and will be part of Donald Trump’s second term Cabinet, assuming they are confirmed by the Republican majority in the US Senate!

Both are very dangerous to be part of the Cabinet, but sadly, we are faced with the likelihood that they will be in key positions

Tulsi Gabbard, former Democratic Congresswoman from Hawaii, as Director of National Intelligence, despite her flirtations with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad and Russian President Vladimir Putin over recent years. The thought that such a person, who is a massive security risk, would become the leading spy executive of our federal government is horrifying beyond belief!

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, son of the late Senator and Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, as Secretary of Health and Human Services. Kennedy is a conspiracy theorist; anti vaccine advocate; against flouride in America’s water supply; and desirous of damaging America’s health care system. He is a disgrace to the Kennedy family name, and has a horrendous history of drug and alcohol abuse, and sexual misconduct during his three marriages.

Neither Gabbard nor Kennedy should have any impact on American government policy, and both are very dangerous, but unlikely that either can be stopped from gaining power under Donald Trump!

RFK Jr.–A Disgrace To His Father’s Memory, And A Hypocrite To His Own Environmental Legacy!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the namesake of his famous father, has become a disgrace to his revered father’s memory!

He has caused great distress in his own family circles, among his siblings, and even more so for his mother, Ethel Kennedy, age 96, who has been widowed for 56 years.

He has disgraced his own admirable environmental advocacy from decades ago, when he was distinguished as a reformer.

His own issues with drug addiction, alcoholism, and sexual escapades have doomed his earlier, admirable qualities.

His family’s connection and loyalty to Joe Biden has been besmirched by his reckless, preposterous campaign for President, which now has ended with an endorsement of Donald Trump, a man who shares in his corruption in so many ways, but is a repudiation of his long term reputation, now lying in tatters. And now, he claims he would be on the transition team for Donald Trump if he wins back the Presidency.

His three marriages, including his second wife committing suicide, considered provoked by RFK Jr’s mistreatment of her emotional problems, have also made one wonder about his sanity.

His present marriage, to actress Cheryl Hines, seems in danger too, as a result of his endorsement of Trump, and he is certainly the “dark sheep” of the family.

What, if any, effect RFK Jr. will have on the Presidential race is hard to fathom, but his support went down dramatically when Joe Biden dropped out of the race, and Kamala Harris replaced him as the Democratic Presidential nominee.

RFK Jr Is Unbalanced, Unstable, And Repudiates His Revered Father’s Memory!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would be ignored if he was not his revered father’s namesake.

His family has repudiated him, and his 95 year old mother, Ethel Kennedy, is mortified over what her son is doing, working to defeat Joe Biden, who has a bust of RFK on his desk, shares his birthdate of November 20, and sees him as his hero!

RFK Jr. has been a vaccine denier without any evidence; and tells America that Joe Biden is more of a danger to democracy than Donald Trump!

That alone demonstrates how clueless RFK Jr. is, but his ignorant followers could determine who wins any of the battleground states if he ends up on the state ballots in November.

At this point, he is only on about six state ballots, and hopefully, he will be unable to succeed in being on most state ballots.

And he offers us his runningmate, Nicole Shanahan, a tech tycoon of 38, and with no qualifications to be President.

But then, RFK Jr. himself has no government experience or credentials of his own, and if his last name was Jones or Smith, no one would be paying any attention to him.

Hopefully, he will be as big of a flop as for instance Henry A. Wallace was in 1948, when Harry Truman was challenged, but overcame the opposition and won a surprise full term in the White House! And Henry A. Wallace had real credentials as compared to RFK Jr!

Crazy Polling Shows RFK Jr. At 22 Percent Support In Presidential Race!

A new Quinnipiac poll shows Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. gaining 22 percent in a Presidential matchup with Joe Biden (39 percent) and Donald Trump (36 percent).

Independents (including a lot of young voters) favor RFK Jr. with 36 percent, Trump with 31 percent, and Biden with 30 percent.

This poll, if it became reality, could affect “swing states”, deciding the Electoral College, but there is zero chance of RFK Jr. being able to win any electoral votes, and a certainty he would not be able to win the election, just being a spoiler against Joe Biden, a man who honors his father and has a bust of Robert F. Kennedy on his desk.

More likely, however RFK Jr. would harm Trump than Biden.

It is clear that there are delusional people who think RFK Jr. is RFK come back from the past!

The Danger Presented By Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. As Independent Presidential Candidate

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, the namesake of former Senator and 1968 Presidential contender Robert F. Kennedy, has announced a run as an independent for the Presidential Election of 2024.

Other than being his namesake, there is absolutely no motivation for any sane person to vote for RFK Jr, as he clearly is a mental case, with major psychological and drug problems, and promotes lunatic conspiracy theories about vaccines and other scientific research.

His own siblings and other Kennedy family members have denounced him, and he has caused great pain and suffering for his elderly mother Ethel Kennedy, who is in her mid 90’s, still surviving 55 years after her husband’s tragic assassination. He is a disgrace to the Kennedy family tradition!

If Robert F. Kennedy had been alive now, nearing 98, he would, clearly, be totally shocked and stunned at what has happened to the mental state of his namesake.

It is a great human tragedy of massive proportions, but he could, in theory, affect the election results due to lunatic followers who may even think he is his father, and vote for him and undermine President Joe Biden, who has always been a great admirer of RFK, and has a bust of him on his desk, seen every time Biden is sitting and commenting on events.

Interestingly, Donald Trump has now denounced him, because it is thought, without proof, that RFK Jr. could siphon more Republican votes than Democratic votes in the election, but the best solution would be for him to go back into the woodwork and leave America free from his crazy, reckless and maniacal ideas!

Joe Biden And The Kennedy Family Connection

President Joe Biden has long had a close connection with the Kennedy family.

He and former Attorney General, NY US Senator, and 1968 Democratic Presidential contender Robert F. Kennedy share the same birthday 17 years apart—November 20—1925 and 1942.

Biden was a supporter of RFK in his 1968 run for the Presidency before his tragic assassination.

When Biden, newly elected to the US Senate from Delaware, lost his first wife and a daughter, and severe injuries to his two sons in December 1972, and was ready to give up the seat he had just won, Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy befriended him, and convinced him to be sworn in to the Senate from the hospital room of his two injured sons early in 1973.

The two men became fast friends and allies over the next 36 years in the Senate, until Ted Kennedy’s death in 2009, when Biden had just become Vice President.

Biden’s connection to the Kennedys was much more than Ted Kennedy, including other relatives, such as the widow of RFK, Ethel Kennedy, who lives on at age 95, and close to many other Kennedy relatives.

Biden has a bust of RFK on his desk, always photographed in any photo of Biden sitting at his White House desk.

Additionally, Biden has four Kennedy family members as part of his administration:

Caroline Kennedy, daughter of John F. Kennedy is Ambassador to Australia, after having been Ambassador to Japan under the Presidency of Barack Obama.

Joseph P. Kennedy III, former Massachusetts Congressman and grandson of RFK, is Special Envoy to Northern Ireland.

Victoria Reggie Kennedy, widow of Senator Ted Kennedy, is Ambassador to Austria.

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, formerly Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, is advisor on retirement in the US Department of Labor.

Sadly, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is running against President Biden for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2024, backed by Donald Trump acolytes, and spewing conspiracy theories about the COVID 19 Vaccines, and besmirching the great reputation of now retired White House Medical Advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci, who served every President since Ronald Reagan to Joe Biden.

His own family members have condemned him for his behavior, including John F. Kennedy grandson Jack Schlossberg (son of Caroline Kennedy); and it is a sad family tragedy, including for his mother, Ethel Kennedy, still surviving 55 years after her husband’s tragic assassination!

RFK Jr An Embarrassment To His Family, And A Detriment To America!

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, who is challenging President Joe Biden for the Democratic Presidential nomination, is nothing like his father or his uncle!

He is an embarrassment to his own siblings, his mother, and other Kennedy relatives with his lunatic conspiracy theories on medical matters, and his attack on a great American medical figure, now retired Dr. Anthony Fauci, who was honored by seven Presidents from Ronald Reagan to Joe Biden!

He is a detriment to America, as he works to attempt to weaken a President who has the best domestic record since Lyndon B. Johnson in the 1960s, and who has made major successes in foreign policy!

RFK Jr consorts with right wing fanatics and Trump supporters, and has had a very unstable emotional life, and is only gaining about 20 percent in polls due to his name, as clearly some morons out there think he is his father! 🙁

He will NOT stop Joe Biden, but he will undermine Democratic party values, including those of his father and his uncle, and if he had any scruples, he would stop his campaign, and go back into the woodwork where he belongs! 🙁

55 Years Since Robert F. Kennedy Assassination: What Might Have Been!

55 years ago today, New York Senator Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in Los Angeles, California after declaring victory in the California Presidential Primary race in the Presidential campaign of 1968.

His assassin, Sirhan Sirhan, remains in prison, denied parole numerous times.

Sadly, his namesake, his son Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is running a Presidential campaign against President Joe Biden, who shares his father’s birthdate, November 20, and whose bust is on the mantle to the left of Biden when he is sitting at the Oval Office desk.

His own family has repudiated RFK Jr, and there are many indications of his instability and maniacal behavior, as he accepts help from Steve Bannon and other Donald Trump acolytes, who see him as a way to undermine Joe Biden’s reelection campaign.

It is certain that Robert F. Kennedy would not approve of what his son is doing, as it besmirches the good name of RFK.

More than a half century after his death, RFK remains an individual very complex, but one who many believe would have been able to transform America in a positive way, instead of the tragic corruption and criminality of Richard Nixon and the right wing of the Republican Party, leading up to the era of conservatism under Ronald Reagan!

Historic Moment For Vice President To Turn Against President: Extremely Rare!

Former Vice President Mike Pence has FINALLY stopped being a sycophant to Donald Trump, after being obsequious to the former President since his selection to be Vice President in the Summer of 2016.

Pence has been weak all along, but finally said he did his constitutional duty by counting the Electoral College votes in the Presidential Election of 2020, a ceremonial duty, with no power to challenge the official vote count.

This IS an historic moment, for a Vice President to turn against the President, extremely rare!

The only public times were Aaron Burr against Thomas Jefferson in 1801, after Burr created a constitutional crisis over whether he or Jefferson was to be President, due to a so called “tie’ in electoral votes; and John C. Calhoun against both John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson, the two Presidents he served as Vice President, over the issue of the protective tariff and states rights, secession, and nullification.

Also, but more veiled, not obvious publicly, Charles G. Dawes had disagreements with Calvin Coolidge: John Nance Garner broke with Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1940 as he sought to succeed him; Al Gore separated himself from Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky Scandal as Gore ran for President in 2000; and Dick Cheney had growing disagreements and a growing breach with George W. Bush in Bush’s second term after 2005.

Also, more veiled was Thomas Marshall not being informed about Woodrow Wilson’s health after his stroke; Lyndon B. Johnson being mistreated by Robert F. Kennedy under John F. Kennedy’s Presidency; and Hubert Humphrey forced to support the Vietnam War under Johnson after 1965, later stated as a very difficult time for Humphrey.
