Milestone Reached: 8,000 Entries On “The Progressive Professor” Website Since August 2008!

As the year 2023 ends, this author and blogger is proud to announce that this entry marks number 8,000 over 15 years and four and a half months since the inception of “The Progressive Professor” in August 2008!

There have also been a total of 23,268 comments made by readers of this blog, and I appreciate all of my followers who have contributed with their insights!

My expectation is that I hope to continue to contribute to this blog, although there might be some days that I will decide to pass on commentary.

Thanks, everyone, who is reading this, particularly those who have contributed with comments and been loyal over the past 15 years!

Fifteen years ago on August 11, 2008, this author and blogger created this political and historical blog, “The Progressive Professor”!

A total of 7,862 entries have been published in these 15 years, and 22,922 comments!

I have enjoyed being committed to the discipline of this blog, and hope to continue it in future years, as long as I am able.

I want to thank my readers over these 15 years, and I hope that I have enlightened many readers and followers with my insights as a Professor of American History, Government, and Politics, and as the author of two books.

14th Anniversary Of “The Progressive Professor”!

This past week has been an unusually newsworthy period of time, and distracted this author and blogger, who just realized that as of August 11, “The Progressive Professor” blog has been providing news and views for 14 years, since 2008!

More than 7,500 entries have been published here, and over 22,400 comments have been posted in those 14 years!

I wish to thank my readers, both those who have commented, and those who have just read and followed my blog.

I hope that all of my readers have benefited from my knowledge, expertise, research, and enthusiasm for American public affairs!

I intend to continue this blog as long as I am healthy enough to do so, and again, thanks to those who follow it!

A Moment To Commemorate: 7,400 Entries Since August 2008, And Joe Biden And Sarah Palin Then And Now

Today is a day of commemoration, as this is the 7,400th entry on “The Progressive Professor”, since its inception on August 11, 2008!

The first entry on August 11 was on the Vice Presidency, and Joe Biden was the center of attention as being the best choice, before his selection by Barack Obama.

And an entry on the disaster of Sarah Palin being chosen by John McCain for his Vice Presidential nominee, on August 29, was also the center of attention in that first month.

And now Joe Biden is in his second year as the 46th President, and Sarah Palin has come out of the woodwork to announce her candidacy for the vacant Alaska House seat!

So after 13 years and 8 months of posting articles on this blog, it is fascinating to look back at the beginning!

13 Years Of “The Progressive Professor”, And 7,165 Entries!

Thirteen years ago on August 11, 2008, this author and scholar began “The Progressive Professor”, at the suggestion of his son David.

I have posted 7,165 entries to this date, an average of 550 per year, or 1.5 entries daily, although there have been rare dates when I have not posted, and those dates, more years ago than recently, when I posted multiple entries.

Still, to have persisted at this commitment from the time of Barack Obama being nominated for President in 2008 to the insanity of Republican governors acting like Fascist dictators in the summer of 2021 regarding the COVID 19 Pandemic, is an amazing series of events!

I hope to continue this blog for many more years, and I want to make clear I also post articles on History News Network since January 2016, and have close to 180 articles of longer length there for readers to peruse.

All of those articles, besides being under the blog name “Ronald L. Feinman”, are also listed on the right side of my blog.

I wish to thank my readers and the comments that have been made over the years–a total of 22,088 at this writing! I encourage continued commentary on all issues!

Let all of us remain healthy, and use the brains given to us to make wise decisions that protect ourselves, but also display our compassion and empathy for others, and employ common sense in our thinking!

This website began when the author’s older son suggested that I start a blog, as I had strong opinions and background knowledge, and the desire to share my views and thoughts with others!

It has now been 12.5 years since “The Progressive Professor” began, what has become over the years a daily commentary, with only an occasional date missed, and some days in the past with multiple entries.

So the “magic number” of 7,000 entries is being accomplished after 4,584 days, meaning an average of 47 entries each month.

I wish to thank all those who have read my blog over the years, and those who have commented on entries, and added their own knowledge and thoughts, which has enriched the website.

I hope the various websites, radio shows, articles I have published, lectures, and other material is helpful to everyone who accesses this website.

The hope is that this website will continue to prosper for many more years, so thanks to everyone reading this!
