Danger Of Extremism Escalation By Donald Trump Supporters

The good news coming out after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump is that Trump and Joe Biden have spoken, and they had a cordial call.

Also, Trump has said his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday has been modified to promote the idea of unity.

It seems that Trump, having a near death experience, may have been sobered in his approach to rhetoric, and we can hope so.

But that does not mean that his most vehement supporters, necessarily, will take the same view, as already, there are conspiracy theories on the internet and social media, designed to divide and stir up animosity against Democrats and President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

So there are fears that there could be more violence and potential bloodshed for the next four months of the Presidential and Congressional election campaigns.

And there is still the danger that the right wing, if they lose, will refuse to accept the results, and another January 6 type Insurrection or worse, could be in the offing.

Everyone needs to make an effort to calm partisan rhetoric that encourages confrontation, and while making partisan points, promotes the concept of a peaceful resolution of who is elected to run our federal, state, and local governments.

The news that Ohio Senator JD Vance has been chosen as Donald Trump’s Vice Presidential running mate is a clear sign that no matter what Trump said about “unity”, it is not going to happen.

Venomous Victory Speech By Donald Trump, And Tim Scott Shows Total Lack Of Character!

Donald Trump went on a rage last night after defeating Nikki Haley in the New Hampshire Presidential Primary by 11 percentage points.

Trump gave the most venomous speech imaginable, condemning Nikki Haley in insulting manner, and even more shocking, being assisted by African American Senator Tim Scott, who had been originally appointed to the Senate by Governor Nikki Haley!

Scott proved for all to see how despicable he is, but with his indication that he would consider the Vice Presidency if offered by Trump, he professed “love” for Trump, a man who incited the January 6, 2021 Insurrection, and is the most racist President in American history!

Any reputation for decency and compassion that observers might have thought existed in Tim Scott was completely eliminated by his disgraceful embrace of a man who is facing 91 counts on four indictments, and has declared he wants revenge and to establish a dictatorship upon taking the oath of office in 2025!

The Vice Presidency A Thankless Job!

The American Vice Presidency has been described as “stand by equipment”, as there is no great power in the office.

It is a frustrating office, as any Vice President must avoid seeming to take away attention from the President.

If anyone was to ask many Vice Presidents, if not all, how they felt about the position, the likelihood is that the response would be unprintable!

Ask Lyndon Johnson, Hubert Humphrey, Nelson Rockefeller, George H. W. Bush, Al Gore, and Mike Pence, as just a few examples!

They would all have plenty to complain about, if able to openly express their feelings and thoughts!

And one can be sure that Kamala Harris already has similar feelings and thoughts!

Joe Biden Says About Dick Cheney: “Who Cares?” A Great Response!

Vice President Joe Biden has made it perfectly clear that former Vice President Dick Cheney’s attack on President Obama’s careful reconsideration of Afghanistan policy is something to be ignored, saying “Who cares?”

That is the exactly proper take on Cheney’s criticism. The former Vice President was totally wrong on so much foreign policy during the Bush Administration, and actually harmed the President he served with his delusional view of the world scene.

Meanwhile, Biden is one of the real assets to President Obama. He has been willing to speak his mind, and yet has made clear that he will be loyal to whatever the President ultimately decides. The President has great confidence in his partner, and the two men together are shaping a new view of the world, which will be an asset to the nation over the next four to eight years.

It is amazing how switching from one Vice President to another can really transform the nation to the benefit of its people. Hooray again for Joe Biden, who will go down as the one of the most effective and significant Vice Presidents in American history!
