Republican Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Rand Paul of Kentucky are the most obscene, disgraceful members of the US Senate, a legislative body that has too many members who are outrageous in their behavior!

Both of these Senators ran for President in 2016, and both were very scary, and have gone along with all of the evil perpetrated by Donald Trump!

And now, both, besides having no issue with Donald Trump and the January 6 Insurrection on the US Capitol, have had the gall to support the Ottawa, Canada truckers site over the issue of vaccinations. Both were “hoping” it would spread to America and cause traffic jams at the Superbowl in Los Angeles (a total failure in that regard), and also to Washington DC for the State of the Union address by President Joe Biden on March 1, and also undermine economic stability in other cities.

What is wrong with these people? They want to undermine America’s public health and economy!

So let us call a spade a spade—Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are seditionists, traitors, domestic terrorists in their advocacy of turmoil, and they should face arrest and prosecution for undermining the national interest!

They are also attempting to harm our great and stable neighbor and partner, Canada, with which we share the largest peaceful land boundary now for more than 200 years!

The Republican Party is involved in fast fall, after asserting that the January 6, 2021 US Capitol Insurrection was “legitimate political discourse”, which is totally preposterous!

So far, only a small number of Republicans in public office are repudiating that statement, notably Mitt Romney and Lisa Murkowski.

But for Joe Biden and the Democrats, this has been a triumphant week, with 6.6 million jobs created in the first year of the Joe Biden Presidency, more than any other year. Yes, inflation is high, but it would be no matter who was in the White House, and it seems clear that it is a temporary issue.

Also, the leader of ISIS, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi was killed in a counterterrorism raid in Syria, a great accomplishment although ISIS is still a problem. This despicable excuse for a human being killed his own wife and children, rather than surrender!

The Republicans are living in an “alternative universe”, trying to claim that Joe Biden has failed, when all of the evidence in the first year of his Presidency is that the Republicans are “grasping at straws”, as they continue to self destruct by remaining loyal to the traitor and seditionist former President, who has NEVER won the popular vote either time that he was on the ballot, and only due to Russian collusion did he squeak out a unlawful victory the first time in 2016!

Donald Trump, the authoritarian Fascist, on the 89th anniversary of Adolf Hitler taking power, threatened the nation with further violence and sedition, if he runs for President in 2024, and fails to win the election.

This led to criticism by some Republicans, including Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Senator Susan Collins of Maine, and New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu on the Sunday news programs.

But will the mass of Republicans in the House and Senate and governorships and other positions join them, and insure that the Electoral Count Act of 1887 will be updated to prevent any possibility of another constitutional crisis as we had on January 6, 2021?

The concept that Trump promotes that he would give pardons to the January 6 insurrectionists is a true travesty of justice and of the sacrifices of the Capitol Police on that day!

The horrific scenes of violence and destruction perpetrated on that day by traitors to the Constitution, who refused to endorse the Electoral College results, and incited the crazies to come out and engage in armed insurrection, must be prevented against by all means necessary!

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has created controversy by stating that the members of the January 6 House Committee, investigating the US Capitol Insurrection, will face jail time when and if the Republican Party gains control of the House of Representatives in the 2022 Midterm Congressional Elections this November!

This is a stunning statement, as what is being done by the January 6 House Committee is perfectly legitimate, as the events of January 6 were a breakdown of law and order, an illegal act of violence, sedition, and treason by all who participated in that tragic event, or encouraged it by their words and actions!

Gingrich is well known for corruption and scandal during his years in the House of Representatives, and is a loose cannon who craves attention, since he is no longer a factor in the Congress, and hardly noticed on the political scene.

This craziness only adds to the image of a man who has an historical record of negativism that no sane person would wish as his legacy!

He can be held responsible for the decline in civility in American politics, that began in the mid 1990s, and was utilized by Donald Trump!

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is a traitor to the truth and country, and a lackey to Donald Trump, and needs to be prosecuted!

McCarthy desperately wants to become Speaker of the House, more important than the truth about Donald Trump that he uttered on January 13, 2021, one week after the January 6, 2021 Insurrection.

McCarthy screamed and cursed at Trump on the day of the US Capitol Insurrection, and held Trump accountable for the events, and said Antifa had absolutely no involvement in the events, which even now a year later, the Republican insurrectionists in Congress keep on claiming, and right wing news channels continue to pontificate, led by Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and other right wing propagandists.

But they, themselves, were trying to reach Trump through Mark Meadows to tell him to call off the violence and bloodshed, and are also liars!

McCarthy gave up his promotion of the truth on January 28, 2021, when he went to Mar a Lago to meet with Trump, and now refuses to testify before the January 6 House Committee investigating the events of January 6, and this after in May 2021, saying he would testify if called to explain the events of the day, which he well knows what happened, but now lies about it.

McCarthy should be expelled from Congress, under the 14th Amendment, Section 3, and prosecuted for the damage he has done by lying for Donald Trump, after first doing the right thing by denouncing him!

His name in history will be one of a traitor and seditionist, who cares more about his own advancement, than preserving American democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law!

The Major Goals For 2022: Accountability For Donald Trump, Voting Rights Insured, And Biden Agenda Accomplished!

As the year 2021 comes to an end, the major goals for 2022 are clear!

First, there MUST be accountability for the sins and crimes of Donald Trump and his seditionist supporters of January 6, and that includes proper punishment for the Congressmen and Senators who supported Trump during and after the attack on the US Capitol. So the Republican Party must be purged of its treasonous elements, and expulsion and prosecution must occur!

Second, voting rights must be insured, by changing the filibuster, as voting is the most basic right every American citizen has, other than freedom and liberty itself!

Third, the Joe Biden Agenda, as expressed in the Build Back Better bill, must be passed, maybe in modified form, but essential for the promotion of the middle class and the poor!

Despite the many challenges Joe Biden faces in 2022, this author and blogger senses that the US Senate will go majority Democratic, and that the House of Representatives, after reapportionment of seats, and even with the sin of gerrymandering, is likely to be evened out in such a way that the Democratic Party has a good chance of retaining the House majority. To allow the seditionist, treasonous majority of the House Republicans to gain control, and whitewash the US Capitol Insurrection, would be true destruction of democracy, and every decent person must resist that to the extreme degree during this upcoming year!

The year also brings the continued danger of the COVID 19 Pandemic; high inflationary pressures; continued climate change and global warming challenges; and the mental health crisis facing the nation.

And threats of war and bloodshed create a massive challenge as well, particularly regarding Russia and Ukraine, and China and Taiwan.

So there will be plenty to worry about and write about in the next year, and I wish the best to all my readers in the new year 2022!

Fox News Channel promotes fear, ignorance, and hate; sees the world as simple and black and white; distrusts science and education; supports government by the wealthiest, with no concern for the poor and middle classes; and endorses religion in schools and government, rather than the basic constitutional principle of separation of church and state!

Fox News Channel has become the “Bible” for a majority of people best defined as white supremacists, antisemites, Islamophobes, nativists, misogynists, and homophobes!

The poisonous nature of Fox News Channel, and also One America News Network (OANN) and Newsmax TV, which are even worse, imagine that, helps deaden the brain of common sense and common decency!

The Republican Party of history once stood for human rights, civil rights, racial equality, in the age of Abraham Lincoln.

The Republican Party of history once stood for progressive reforms, in the age of Theodore Roosevelt, Robert LaFollette, Sr., and George Norris.

The Republican Party of history once stood for promoting internationalism and fighting the Cold War for democracy and against the threat of totalitarianism, in the age of Dwight D. Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, and Ronald Reagan.

The Republican Party of history once stood for Civil Rights in the age of Senators and Congressmen who joined with Democrats to promote political and social reform.

The Republican Party of history had its elements which were evil and divisive, but the party overall stood for basic principles of decency while promoting conservatism and the concept of limited national government.

But now, the Republican Party has promoted massive give aways to the wealthy, while having no concern about the needs of the middle class and the poor.

But now, the Republican Party consorts with authoritarian regimes of the Left and the Right, including collaborating with Vladimir Putin to fix the Presidential Election of 2016, and to make concessions to the Russian Federation during the era of Donald Trump.

But now, the Republican Party has the craziest conceivable elements in its party, who promote sedition, treason, and attacks on the Constitution and the rule of law.

Only a small element of the 2021-2022 Republican Party is part of the mainstream of American politics, and they are outnumbered and attacked for their commitment to decency, honesty, and the tenets of American democracy. Donald Trump and his ilk, which include millions of ignorant, prejudiced white supremacists, antisemites, Islamophobes, racists, nativists and misogynists, represent a dire threat to the American republic, and must be combatted by every legal tool available, to allow America to reach its 250th anniversary in 2026 as a nation still keeping its values and heritage that are a model for democracy around the world in the 21st century!

Birthday Of Joe Biden And Robert F. Kennedy November 20, And The Issue Of Age!

Yesterday, November 20, was the 79th Birthday of President Joe Biden, our oldest President in office.

It was also the birthday of Robert F. Kennedy, who Biden perceives as a hero, with Biden having a bust of RFK always in every photo on his left side when Biden is at his desk in the Oval Office.

Biden is working so hard to accomplish the greatest social change legislation in the past 55 years since Lyndon B. Johnson accomplished the massive reforms of the Great Society in the mid 1960s, something RFK wished to build on if he had lived and become President in the Presidential Election of 1968.

The issue of age constantly is brought up as Joe Biden will be 82 years old weeks after the Presidential Election of 2024.

Biden certainly has aged since he was Vice President under Barack Obama, but he is still capable and alert, although his annual physical shows his gait has slowed a bit.

But when one compares Biden to Donald Trump or Ronald Reagan at the end of their terms, and even Trump now a year later, Biden is far more mentally capable than either of them.

And the idea that Donald Trump at age 78 and a half at the time of inauguration three years hence would magically be much more mentally and physically capable than Joe Biden, when already it is clear that Trump is a danger with his reckless rhetoric, and promotion of hate, sedition and treason, makes one have to wonder about the mental stability of Donald Trump followers, who see him as a God like figure!

Joe Biden might decide one term is enough, considering his age, and that would be perfectly understandable, as only one third of our Presidents have served two terms.

Joe Biden is a transformative figure in the Presidency, who is having an historical impact, and this is just his first year in office!

A new generation can follow him and continue the good works, and common decency, that would make Robert F. Kennedy proud, if he was alive, on his 96th birthday!

The New “McCarthyism”: Kevin McCarthy’s Ambitions To Be Speaker Require Being Subservient To Donald Trump!

California Congressman Kevin McCarthy, the House Republican Minority Leader, is desperate to become Speaker of the House of Representatives in the 118th Congress (2023-2024).

This requires him being subservient to Donald Trump, and McCarthy will stop at nothing to promote himself, and in the process conduct himself as a charlatan, a man without common decency and any ethical principles!

McCarthy will do anything and everything to support Paul Gosar, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, Madison Cawthorn, and the rest of the traitors and seditionists who were complicit in the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol, leading to the death of five people, and the physical and mental harm done to more than 140 US Capitol police!

McCarthy will lie incessantly through his teeth, displaying no sense of morality, and throws good people, such as Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger and a small band of other House Republicans, “under the bus”, so to speak!

He has just set a record for more than an eight and a half hours speech overnight on the floor of the House of Representatives, putting on a performance for the extremist right wingers in his caucus, and displaying every bit of poison and hate imaginable!

He calls for the defeat of the Build Back Better bill of President Joe Biden and the Democrats, which would improve the lives of millions of Americans!

There is only one conclusion about Kevin McCarthy!

That is, that Kevin McCarthy should be roundly condemned by all decent people as the leader of the new “McCarthyism”, possibly worse if successful in his quest than his namesake, Wisconsin Senator Joseph McCarthy, seven decades ago!

Kevin McCarthy is willing to destroy anyone who stands in his way on his mission to become a demagogue, and if bad luck occurs, easily the worst, most dangerous Speaker of the House in 234 years of the history of the House of Representatives!

And finally, ironically, there are indications that the disgraced, twice impeached, two time popular vote loser of the Presidency, Donald Trump, is working to undermine McCarthy’s hope to be Speaker, and would wish Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan, who is even more unprincipled and dangerous, to become Speaker of the House in 2023!

Even if one is not “religious”, God Help Us! 🙁
